This article from National Geographic focuses on climate change. It discusses what can happen if we continue to burn fossil fuel. Eventually the Atlantic seaboard would vanish in North America along with Florida and the Gulf Coast. This article does a great job highlighting what can happen if we don't take action against climate change.

The article I read was about the water cycle. The title of the article was "Hey! Today I Will Tell You About The Water Cycle!".

The article was about a study conducted with third graders. According to the abstract of the article the writing samples of the students to analyze them and see how they all the students write science explanations and maybe compare the samples to different students. It was a good article I think is helpful to read because any student might have to write about the water cycle which many explanations are needed. It was a good article explaining the explanations we should write when it comes to writing in science or about science in this case it was directed to the water cycle.
The article was accessed through the Henry Madden Website. Its a peer reviewed journal.

The Water Cycle

https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/Water/page2.php

This article of the water cycle explains in depth how detrimental the whole thing is to our ecosystem as it has become a necessary part of our life. Just as we are in need of nutrients to keep going, the article states the same thing as well, but in different phases. One important characteristic of this cycle though is the water that is coursing through each of the phases and converted into a variety of forms.

Water Cycle on Mars

There is, in fact, a water cycle not only on Earth, but Mars as well. There are discrete cloud layers above the surface that appear to be composed of water, ice, and characteristics similar to hazes that produce "diamond dust" precipitation in the continental Antarctic of Earth. The hazes may play a key role in the seasonal water cycle of Mars.

National Geographic article about gathering and erosion. ' ]\\\\

Weathering and erosion are slowly changing the geography of our environment. Weather is a tool used by the environment to create change. In terms of precipitation, rainwater can mix with pollutants, forming a acidic concoction that dissolves rock. This is called acid rain.
Snow accumulates on the top of mountains. It forms glaciers that weigh down on rocks and push them deep into the ground. As a glacier melts, it deposits and transports debris such as soil and rock. The sediment flows towards the ocean and forms new land masses over time!

Article Summary on Climate Change

This posts talks about human activity is an actual real threat to climate change earth. However, trying to find the exact point of danger caused was humans has found to be a difficult task. Despite meeting with young researchers in Germany to discuss ideas on how to change climate change, there are yet to be any effective ideas. The lack of progress has left scientists, politicians and public office leaders very frustrated and confused on what to do to stop climate change.

Study of impact of climate change on temperatures suggests more deaths unless action taken

In this article it talks about how the green house gases have affected the population within warmer climate regions. In those areas the mortality rate has risen increasingly and will keep rising through the years unless action is taken following the Paris Agreement. However studies have also shown that in colder climate regions like Northern Europe the Green house gases haven't really affected much and it seems that way for most of the colder regions through out the world.

Erosion and weathering is important in renewing nature and helping with restoring minerals into the soil to grow plants and food.

Erosion and weathering is an important in maintaining the cycles of life without it things would slowly begin to wilt or die. water starts to break up the rock which will crack and fall into streams or onto the soil. Which will slowly be ground up into it's natural minerals and be dispersed onto the soil and the soil will be renewed in order to make and grow food and plants.

I read an online article from the journal The Year in Ecology and Conservation Biology. The article was "Risks to biodiversity from hydraulic fracturing for natural gas in the Marcellus and Utica shales" and it was about Hydraulic fracturing. I had little to no knowledge about Hydraulic fracturing before reading the article, I've only heard about it and based my opinion on others. I didn't know how much of a controversy the process what and didn't know how much people disagreed with it. After reading the article I've learned the huge health risk it brings to a community and the negative effects it has on our world. Before, I've only had heard the good and never the bad, after reading the article I'm able to form my own opinion about the process.

"GOOGLE BOUGHT ENOUGH WIND POWER TO MATCH 100 PERCENT OF ITS ENERGY USE FROM 2017"
Newsweek

In the article I reviewed, Google just bought 3 contracts with wind and solar companies to cover their total energy usage from 2017. They will now be getting their energy from Oklahoma, Iowa, and South Dakota. They will begin operations at different times over the course of now until December 2019. Prices of solar energy have dropped by 80% according to the article, and wind energy has dropped by 60%. With the price drop, more people will be encouraged, like Google, to purchase cleaner energy and it will also provide companies with the opportunity to hire more people. Although the day-to-day demand of their energy usage might become a challenge depending on the consistency of wind and sunny days, they are looking for ways to store this cleaner energy.

"The Psychology of Attitudes" is centered on research in the field of social psychology, where the attitude construct has been preeminent since the very beginnings of systematic research. Yet research on attitudes is a shared endeavor in the social sciences, with especially important contributions from the fields of sociology, communications, political science, and marketing. Although our book considers some of the work carried out in these neighboring fields, our own disciplinary background in psychology leads us to focus on distinctively psychological issues. Nonetheless, the book should be useful to graduate students and researchers in related fields, because a very large portion of the existing literature on attitudes is in fact psychological in its focus. Much of this work can be applied in the natural settings and should therefore also be interesting to practitioners, especially to those who design programs to change attitudes and behavior.
