Erosion and weathering is an important in maintaining the cycles of life without it things would slowly begin to wilt or die. water starts to break up the rock which will crack and fall into streams or onto the soil. Which will slowly be ground up into it's natural minerals and be dispersed onto the soil and the soil will be renewed in order to make and grow food and plants.
