"GOOGLE BOUGHT ENOUGH WIND POWER TO MATCH 100 PERCENT OF ITS ENERGY USE FROM 2017"
Newsweek

In the article I reviewed, Google just bought 3 contracts with wind and solar companies to cover their total energy usage from 2017. They will now be getting their energy from Oklahoma, Iowa, and South Dakota. They will begin operations at different times over the course of now until December 2019. Prices of solar energy have dropped by 80% according to the article, and wind energy has dropped by 60%. With the price drop, more people will be encouraged, like Google, to purchase cleaner energy and it will also provide companies with the opportunity to hire more people. Although the day-to-day demand of their energy usage might become a challenge depending on the consistency of wind and sunny days, they are looking for ways to store this cleaner energy.
