The article was about a study conducted with third graders. According to the abstract of the article the writing samples of the students to analyze them and see how they all the students write science explanations and maybe compare the samples to different students. It was a good article I think is helpful to read because any student might have to write about the water cycle which many explanations are needed. It was a good article explaining the explanations we should write when it comes to writing in science or about science in this case it was directed to the water cycle.
