Reflection

My favorite feature of Google Drive is how easy it is to share materials with others. I love that it is easy to share files or folders with others and give them different levels of access. For example, I can provide students with viewing access only,  but my co-teacher has Editor access. It makes life so easy—no need to create a thousand documents. I also love that it makes assigning these documents in Google Classroom super easy!

There are many features of Google Drive that I find very helpful but my favorite two are: making subfolders and sharing folders with colleagues. When I make a folder in Drive I usually make it a broad category (Example- Unit 1 ELA). It is so helpful to make subfolders for each area I plan to cover in that unit, instead of having too many general folders cluttering up my main Drive page. Being able to share folders is so useful. Sharing with colleagues is such an important part of being a teacher. When I share a folder, I can get input and share ideas with everyone in a grade-level or all of the teachers that are helping/teaching the same material.

My favorite feature of Drive is the ability to share resources with others quickly and easily. I enjoy sharing activity ideas and therapy resources with parents, teachers, and other related service providers. It's great to have the option to adjust the share settings. Mastering some of the features of Drive has helped me become more organized and productive. I know exactly where to look to find certain documents and how to share them with others. Working on the same document (e.g., therapy supply order) has helped our department become more efficient and learn from one another.

I love anything to do with organizing! Drive is a lifeline from Sept-June. I LOVE organizing by color and having all documents in folders that make sense. Files are easily accessible, and being a co-teacher, having all our materials digital and shared makes planning so much for efficient. My co-teacher really inspires me to organize things immediately and my online life has improved so much this past year. Thanks, Em! 

I love so many things about Drive, but I particularly appreciate the ability to create so many sub folders within folders, and also copy files and make an updated version in a new location. I find moving files around to be very user friendly, and it helps to keep the tremendous amount of material we keep digitally in an organized and easy to access manner. The sharing features allow me to be incredibly collaborative with my colleagues, and the auto save/update feature in all types of Google platforms ensures efficient and streamlined progress when collaborating. 

My favorite aspect of google drive is the ability to color coordinate the folders and sub folders.  This really helps you associate common folders quickly vs having to try to remember where you [placed a document.  Adding the emoji is also a feature that I will begin to use.  Something about  a picture always being more valuable than words when its comes to organization. 

I obviously love that you can access all your files from anywhere.  And I like that I can organize by math topic.  However, I have been just stuffing all files into a topic folder when I now realize I can make subfolders that would allow me to further organize into lessons, homework, videos, etc. for each topic.  I wish also that I could easily delete files so I don't have to see them.  Namely, the ones automatically shared with me.  

My favorite features of Drive are the abilities to color-code folders and create additional subfolders within. These features allow me to uber-organize my Google Drive and know exactly where I need to go to find what I'm looking for. I am a visual learner, so having things color-coded immediately draws my eye and makes things easy to locate. 
I also appreciate that there are different levels of privacy when sharing items via Google Drive. I can allow others to either view or edit things, I can share materials with just a few people. or I can completely restrict who sees my materials if I choose! These options are very user-friendly and easy to change as needed, too. 
Google Drive makes it super easy to access all of these features, and allows me to share things with just the click of a button. All of my classoom resources are in one spot and are so easy to access!

My favorite feature of google drive is the ability to organize and share files/drives/folders.  I have a tendency to create a lot of google docs and things but can never remember what I named them.  Creating and purposefully putting things in their designated folders is super helpful for me.  Also, the fact that you can bring word docs into the drive is awesome too.  I plan to eventually keep everything housed in the drive so that at the end of the year, I can clean up my desktop knowing that all of the important things from each school year can safely be stored in the drive.

I love that in drive you have the ability to organize folders within other folders to keep everything organized.  This is especially helpful as a classroom teacher to go from year to year.  I also like the ability to add emojis and colors to keep everything extra organized.

I really like that we can change the color of the folders. My eyes are attracted to the color red. Therefore, I will make the folders that I use the most in a given school year the color red. That will help guide my eyes to the folders that I use the most. 

I also like sharing folders with other people. Being a co-teacher in math, this feature is super helpful. It allows myself to have access to the same folder as the general education teacher. We can upload any documents to that folder as well.
