Drive 1

I love having google drive.  I was so disorganized before I started using google drive to organize all of my paper work.  I love being able to make large folders with subfolders inside so each year I can go back and remind myself of what is needed for a unit.  I love having the different colors and different emojis to help keep it organized as well.

My favorite feature of the drive was being able to create a frequently used folder.  There are several shared items that I use daily and was always having to search them because I couldn't remember exactly what they were titled.  It has helped me stay organized and save time.

Favorite Drive feature

My favorite Google Drive feature was the ability to import files as a Google Doc. This is very helpful as someone who uses Google Docs but many times receives materials from colleagues that are in Word.

My favorite feature of drive is being able to organize into folders and subfolders.  This is a great way to help me stay organized.  I love being able to add things to the drive, and immediately place them in a folder so I can remember in the future where they are.  I also like the search feature so I can find things even if I forget which folder I placed them in!

Drive Features

It has taken me a long time to learn how to use Drive efficiently and I always learn something new when I take a course such as this.  I love the emoji part and the use of color to distinguish folders as it helps me to find my class folders quickly so I can get class started right away.  The colors also help my students to follow me as when they use the same colors for their sub-folders, they can easily follow my plan of organization while I explain where to put their class resources.

My favorite feature of drive is being able to create subfolders which allows me to organize anything and everything so that there is a place that makes the most sense for me to be able to find it when I need it. Even if I were to forget, I use google drive's search engine to quickly pull it up. Because google allows for multiple people to edit documents and slides, etc., it is extremely easy to collaborate with coworkers and students. Using google docs and slides as a remote teacher was a life changer for both myself and my students so that we could exchange feedback and give comments or suggestions directly on student work. It also made student collaboration in the remote setting possible and its document history feature allowed me to see who added what and whether or not everyone contributed equally.

My favorite feature of Drive is the ability to create shortcuts so that I can organize things that have been shared with me, even though I don't own the file.  I've struggled with organizing my drive for a while, so I'm excited to explore that on my own.  I think that it will take me quite a long time to really get it organized the way I'd like it, but learning how to utilize colors, emojis, shortcuts, and convert Microsoft files will be very helpful in that process.

Collaboration is probably Drive's most empowering feature. Multiple users can edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations simultaneously, in real-time. This drastically improves teacher and student efficiency. Being able to work with colleagues or students, each contributing their ideas and updates simultaneously, is an invaluable feature.

I am always learning something new in Google!

Being organized in Google can greatly help with efficiency. Spending time looking for documents is frustrating. Having a system to organize and name files will take a bit of extra time, but will for sure save time and aggravation in the end. I don't always take time to file shared with my files as shortcuts, so I need to remember to do that. I didn't know that in settings there is a feature to automatically concert Word, PowerPoint, etc. I also didn't know you could do multiple files at once.

My favorite part is adding color to organize my classes, content, an to keep me organized.  This is a very valuable tool!

My favorite feature of google drive is color coding the different folders.  I like having folders inside of folders as well.  The amount of loose documents I have is very messy and this makes it much more manigable.

My favorite feature is creating folders and subfolders. It allows me to quickly and easily find things.  I also like the feature of being able to easily share folders and files with people and create shortcuts.
