Google Classroom Level 1 demonstrates how to initially set up a Google Classroom for posting course work.
This is an effective way to post assignments and get a digital version of classwork out to students.  This is a great tool to be used on all educational levels and is great for students who miss class and need to check in on the work missed.  It is also a great resource for students to refer back to material.  I use Google Classroom for my after school support group where I post homework from teachers with due dates.

I use Google Classroom frequently in my third grade classroom. I can post assignments, games, etc. I find the students to be very motivated to complete tasks in google classroom. I use it primarily to reinforce skills already taught or as a place to apply the skills that they have learned. This was a nice refresher:)

Digital Badging /Google Classroom Level 1
Today's Digital badging class demonstrated how to set up a Google Classroom for my students. This is an effective way to organize and and manage my classroom assignments that I am sending my students to work on. It encourages communication between student and teacher. I am able to create, grade and return assignments, while doing all of this in a paperless manner. For my younger learners, this is a great introduction to becoming secure using a Chromebook.

Google Classroom is an awesome tool for posting assignments, tracking student progress, and communicating with your students. I like the option of providing individual feedback based on specific assignments/projects too!

I created a Google classroom to post resources for my families to use at home with their child. My teaching goals are for students to fall in love with learning. By posting educational games they love, they will have access to these things at home so they can have the choice to continue to learn in this digital space.

Google Classroom1

This course helped me recalibrate and reorganize my classroom. It was especially helpful when trying to add and subtract students that have changed courses and/or periods. It is also helpful because students can now collect missed assignments with relative little ease.

Being able to create and manage my google classroom online learning space will help me connect with the students when in-person learning is not an option.  It will also help my students become more organized and know what is going on in my classroom at any given time.

Google classroom is a great way to stay organized and utilize as a virtual teaching tool. It has also been helpful to teach beginning learners how to access games/activities when they are beginning to learn how to use a Chromebook.  As a Kindergarten teacher, the students are taught how to access the google classroom icon and then that is where links are posted on specific links they are ready to use.  It is a great tool for students learning to navigate Chromebooks and information.

Google Classroom is an excellent way to enhance instruction and stay organized. My first year of teaching 5th grade was the Covid year, so Google Classroom quickly became my best friend (and worst enemy). Since then, I have been using Google Classroom religiously. It's particularly great when students are absent or on vacation because you can still post assignments, leave messages in the stream, and attach any supplemental videos/games that help support what was missed. Parents seem to appreciate it as well, especially those who need to keep a closer eye on their child's schoolwork. Now that I am in a new AIS position, I don't rely on it quite as much. However, I do look forward to setting up a classroom for each grade level and providing extra support/supplemental videos/websites/games for students and parents who want to go the extra mile.
