Google Classroom is great tool to utilize to collaborate with coworkers and students. It keeps all related documents and links in one place which makes it very user friendly and easy to navigate. I love the feature for adjusting your notifications to get an email sent to you with any updates or new announcements.

Google Classroom allows me to have a digital collection of class resources and assignments.  I have begun using topics to assist in organizing my classes. I love that I can post to all of my classes at once and can even post from third party apps such as EdPuzzle.  Having Google Classroom has even allowed me to post videos and tutorials for students that are absent.

Google Classroom has created a space for me to organize all of my teaching materials. I organize my Classroom by topic and post each material and assignment under that topic. Google Classroom makes it so easy to post all of your work in one place because you can add files, links, videos for students. It also allows for students who miss a class to keep up with their peers from home. Often times, I add a rubric to a project and can grade work in Classroom and then use an extension to transfer the Classroom grades into my gradebook.

Google Classroom is my primary tool for posting assignments, homework, and quizzes, as well as communicating with students. It is important that I know how to property use this tool to create the best learning experience and outcomes for my students. I regularly post reminders about upcoming tests and quizzes and use the Stream feature to make announcements or share tips about certain assignments as students are completing their work in real time. I have learned how to turn off student comments on the stream (so I am the only one posting), but keep notifications on so that I am notified when students post private comments on assignments. I am able to stay in touch with my students and provide important feedback this way!

Adding co-teachers will allow me to cooperate and collaborate with my colleagues to make sure I am meeting the needs of all my students. It is important for both teachers (Gen ed and special ed) to be engaged in the learning and communication with students in the classroom. By adding them to the Google Classroom this can take place with ease. I also changed my notifications to make sure I do not miss a message from a student. Additionally, I turned off student's ability to post in the Stream. I do not find a need for that and do not want it to cause any trouble.
