Take away

It was interesting to that ELPS has to be tied into each content area, not just testing subjects. This will benefit them so much.

My biggest take away: that several of the things we needed to do by hand or track using the LIAG is actually provided for us in Ellevation.

Takeaway...

My biggest takeaway was that a lot of what I do naturally as a SPED teacher can also be used for ELLs.

All teachers are responsible for the ELPS even if you do not have an ELPS student.

We use TELPAS to evaluate whether students have been making steady progress in learning english.

Linguistic Instructional Alignment Guide

The LIAG is a great resource to use in order to differentiate instruction based on students' proficiency levels.  I love that it contains ideas of ways to instruct and how to meet the needs of our ELLs.
