The Linguistic instructional alignment guide is a great resource to have and use. Focus on the ELPS that the level your student is on.

The one thing I learned....
I enjoyed learning about the lingustic insturctional allignment guide and some of the behaviors I can pick up as a teacher with ELL students. Also- the importance of weaving in the language objectives into content objectives.

Takeaway

My biggest takeaway is that the ELPS are based on the skill levels of the students instead of their age or grade level like most other standards, and that students can be at different levels of proficiency for each component of language acquisition.

I love how we can introduce the ELPS strategies in class that will benefit all students.

I really like how these strategies are beneficial to each student without any one student feeling singled out as needing additional support. They are simply good strategies for every student.

Strategies

That ALL teachers can use the ELPS strategies not just the ELA teachers in their learning. As a Kinder teacher, we use the strategies most of the day in all subjects.
