Video Reflection

It was a good refresher video to watch since we learn so many new things each year. I do like that we still have and use the Tiers system because it helps better met the needs of our ELL students.

Reflection: I really resonate with the importance of providing ELL's support even when there may only be one student that needs the support. It will also in turn benefit below Benchmark students that need the scaffolding.

What I learned.

The biggest take away from this presentation is that there are standardized resources available to give direction and ideas for helping ELs in the classroom.
Also, that having ELs in the classroom adds complexity to an already complex set of variables to planning a successful classroom plan.

Sentence Reflection

The connection needed to be made between ESL Teks, content area teks, STARR, and TELPAS. Texas needed to come up with something different changed to what is now the ELPS.
