Digital badges are a visual way to recognize and validate an individual's accomplishments, skills, or knowledge in a particular area. These badges can foster a sense of belonging and connection, recognizing achievements of staff and students. This is a great tool to support personalized learning, provide professional growth, and motivate all of us to learn new skills.

The purpose of Introduction to Digital Badging is to learn at one's own pace. It is an alternative to in-person learning.

Knowledge is gained in small chunks. Digital Badging is a great alternative to in person learning. Since it is online, we are able to learn specific skills that we need to learn at our own pace and at our own convenience.

First, to earn a badge, we must register through Frontline and gain approval for the course. Next we need to join the badge and watch the video. Then submit the evidence and reflection, with a screenshot. Finally, the badge is reviewed, evidence feedback to award the badge.

Digital Badging

Digital Badging is a process where you can get targeted PD on a specific technology tool. By watching videos, reading resources, and performing tasks, you can show your proficiency in that tool.

Digital badging is a way to recognize one's achievements and continued education by awarding "badges" on-line. These badges typically represent a very specific skill, achievement, or credential and are typically 1 to 3 hours in length. All of the badges offered by OP appear to be tech-based skills. The process involves signing up in Frontline to secure approval. Then you will log in to different badge courses. After completing the course, you will be required to provide evidence of your learning through an image, text or link. Next, you will request feedback. Badge awarders will review evidence, give feedback and award the badge. Digital badging offers personalized learning, at one's own pace.

Reflection for Intro to Digital Badging - Mary Pappaceno

I had never heard of digital badging before taking this course. After learning more, I think it seems similar to the Techflix series that OP offered during Covid.  Digital badging is an alternative to in-person learning. You are able to gain knowledge of skills in small chunks. Because digital badging is online, you are able to learn specific skills that you need and want to learn at your own pace and at your own convenience. Digital badging is not a one-size-fits-all learning experience. After submitting evidence of the course, feedback is given by staff from our district.  To earn a badge, you need to register through Frontline and gain approval for the course. Then you need to join the badge, watch the video, and complete and submit the evidence. Finally, badge awarders review evidence and provide feedback award the badge.

I am looking forward to completing all of my badges and gaining more knowledge of specific topics. Thank you!

Digital Badging allows you to learn self-selected tech skills at your own pace, on your own time. I like that the tutorials give you step by step instructions to learn these new skills. Once you complete the session, you will need to provide evidence of learning to submit for feedback. Once you have posted all of your feedback, you will need to submit it for review. Once your feedback has been accepted, you will need to download your certificate and upload it to MLP for completion of the course.

Digital badging is a method of recognizing skills or achievements in a digital format. The process begins with requesting approval in Frontline, and then joining the group for the badge you wish to complete. As you complete the requirements for a badge, you will need to upload evidence, complete a reflection, and possibly provide links to work. Benefits include flexibility for learners and recognition of skills developed.

Digital badging allows people to earn badges on specific tech concepts. What I like about it the most is that I can do it at my own pace and select specific topics that I am interested in. Also, I like the fact they have a tutorial that explains step by step on what one is supposed to do to complete each badge. I can go back at my own pace and review the tutorial. Once we are completed with all of the requirements for a specific badge, we simply submit and request feedback.  Thank you for offering these courses.

Introduction to Digital Badging

Introduction to Digital Badging
Segmented learning for easier retention.  When you complete the session you are then asked to provide evidence that you understood  and completed the material.  You could be asked to take a screenshot, provide feedback and or attach a link.
Once these items are submitted, you will be emailed a certificate to be submitted into the MLP for completion of the course.

Digital badging is a self-paced, virtual format to receive micro-credentials in specific areas. Digital badges certify that the holder is proficient in a specific skill, or set of skills.

To earn digital badges, you must compete the criteria listed for each badge. Once you have completed the evidence (either a screenshot, text reflection, or link) you must request feedback to let the administrator know you have completed the badge. Once your items have been reviewed, you can get your certificate to upload to Frontline for credit.

Digital badging allows us to the opportunity to take tech based courses, learning different materials.  You have the opportunity to choose the time, place, path and pace.  Once requirements of the course are met, we submit evidence and it is reviewed before being rewarded.
