The Digital Badging Process

Digital badging is a great way to personalize learning using methods that don't require in person training.  A digital badge is a "micro-credential" that proves the person is proficient in a certain area.  Learners can work through badges at their own pace on their own time, which makes it very customizable for each individual learner.  Badges require evidence to prove that you have learned what is expected from the badge.

Digital Badging is a great way for teachers to learn.

Digital badging is a method of recognizing and validating an individual's skills, achievements, or accomplishments in a digital format. Instead of using traditional paper-based certificates or credentials, digital badges are electronic images that contain metadata, providing information about the badge, such as the issuer, criteria for earning it, and evidence of the recipient's achievement.

Digital badging is a form of micro-credential that earners have control over. It can be customized to meet the learner's needs. Badge earners have control over time, place path, and pace of their digital badging. Once the holder is proficient in a specific skill or set of skills they receive a badge for the course. Orchard Park has a wide variety of Digital Badges and I am excited to explore my options!

A digital badge is a digital credential showing that someone has proficiency in a skill or an accomplishment. After completing work for the digital badge, proof must be submitted (in OP's case - a screen shot, written response or a link to an artifact) to prove competency in the skill. Some of the benefits it offers, aside from the individual gaining competency in a skill, are that others can see an individual's competency in that skill.

A digital badge is a type of credential that allows you to showcase certain skills hat you have gained through learning experiences.  It represents the completion of a course and that you have met criteria for specific skills and knowledge to earn that specific badge.  It allows others to be aware of the fact that you have a certain skillset.

Digital badging is customized, online learning that helps learners become proficient in a specific skill or set of skills.  This process allows the learner to control the time, place, and pace.  After completing and submitting the required evidence, learners must submit their work for feedback.  If the learner has met all of the requirements, he/she will receive a badge for the course.

Digital Badging is an alternative to in-person events that is personalized learning of a community of learners.  Therefore, badge learners can control their learning process (i.e. when and where they want to learn) as well as what they want to learn due to it being customizable.  The best part is that an Orchard Park staff member provides feedback and awards you the badge once you complete the specific badge.

Digital badging is a type of credential that allows participants to show specific skills learned through experiences. The digital badge is an icon to represent that content learned. To join a digital badge, you should request approval from Frontline. Once approved, log into your digital badge account and complete the online training. Once the online training is completed, complete the evidence of learning and the reflection piece.

Digital Badging Intro.

Digital badging is a staff development process that allows the audience to work at their own pace and gives flexibility in how the learner proceeds through the material.  This allows the training to be personalized and control of the pace they learn the material.  Skills can then be shown through submission of videos, images, and written evidence.  Digital badging is small chunks of learning and is not meant to me large modules of learning.  After the learner has submitted their evidence, their work is reviewing and the badge is given to the badge earner.

The digital badging process involves online training(s) of your choice that will enhance your teaching. It is completed on your own time. It is to introduce you to the subject matter and provides instruction on how to navigate/produce content. The digital badging process provides videos for you to watch and activities to complete. You will be informed of the evidence you need to provide using the snip tool. You must save it to your folder and then upload as evidence. You will also provide a reflection on your learning. Some badges will require you to submit a link to your work for the session.

Digital Badging is a form of micro credential.  When you are working to earn a badge you have control over the time, place and how long you would like to take.  What is great is that the learning could be customized to the needs of the learners'.  This will then certify that the holder is proficient in the specific skill or skills taught in the lesson.  Once completed you will get feedback from the instructor.
