Reflection

GoGuardian's features help teachers keep students within the educational websites appropriate for school use and allows teachers to track their time spent on the computer.  This creates a more educationally sound and digitally safe environment for students to work through.  As a teacher I can also open tabs I would like students to work on a lock them out of their chromebook if they are not following directions.  It is easy to get started and import google classrooms also.

The integration of Go Guardian into my classroom can definitely help to incentivize students to be more consistently in tune with their class time. I think that, simply put, having eyes on them (through Go Guardian) at all times will help them to stay focused on the task at hand, rather then  letting the myriad of distractions of the internet pull them away.

Also, I do believe that it provides us with the tools, if utilized by the teacher and their projector, to empower our students through the sharing of student work and ideas. By using Go Guardian, the display used for the entire class is opened up to all of the students in it. This gives them autonomy, power, and voice within the classroom. 

Using this feature allows me to monitor students' usage of their Chromebooks. This is especially useful during block time as well as when students are doing research for a project.  This feature can hold students more accountable as I can see what they are all working on.  What a great feature!

Using GoGuardian can enhance my ability to create a more engaging and productive online learning environment for students by allowing me to see directly what they are working on so if they are struggling, I can help them.  It will also allow me to make sure that they are not easily distracted by blocking sites and managing what they are using their chromebooks for.  I use google classroom every day and use Kami regularly so keeping students from opening new tabs or working on other homework can help them to focus on the task at hand.  I plan to use GoGuardian regularly for assignments.

The integration of GoGuardian's features into our teaching practice will enhance our ability to create a more productive online and engaging and learning environment for students.

The knowledge learned is the use of creating a class in GoGuardian and the ability to monitor the students, if they are task or not. Walking around to visibly check is still good classroom management.

I like the functions of GoGuardian because it allows the teacher to push out content to students and watch what they are doing. If a student is working on a document, the teacher can see it in real time (nearly) and interact with them about the content. I didn't know about the "off-task" component until the video. Love that!

Setting up a Go Gaurdian account for a class is a great way to monitor students and help them with keep on task.  I like that you can close out web sites remotely and also look up a student and see the daily history digital usage.

I love using Go Guardian to manage and monitor my students as they work on their chromebooks. I use it often during block time to ensure that students are on task and using their time wisely. I frequently have students going on You Tube when they should be doing something else! I like the feature of being able to see all of their open tabs and the ability to lock their screens. I find it much easier to use than Lan School. 

My daughter has mentioned GoGuardian being used in her middle school. I wondered exactly what it was and how it was utilized. I am so excited that I learned more about it and set up my first class.  I plan on using it with my Second Grade ICT class, too. 

Using GoGuardian will enhance my ability to create more engaging and productive lessons by ultimately keeping our kids safe while using the internet. Monitoring what they are viewing takes out the fear factor that students are not viewing what they should be Next, the use of GoGuardian will help students stay focused on the learning they are supposed to be doing. GoGuardian will help students be less distracted by minimizing students navigating away from the sites they are supposed to be on.  For both of these reasons, GoGuardian will help with productive online experiences. I would like to learn more about GoGuardian. It seems like this website offers many more features that I would like to learn about and utilize in class.

I like that GoGuardian is a tool to monitor that students are using their Chromebooks responsibly.  I like that it can be used as a tool to keep students focused to the assigned task and also to help them complete assignments that require Google searches.  I like the accountability it brings to classroom management.  I also loved the idea of being able to use this after school with Homework Hall and detention.  

It's difficult to monitor student's computers when I'm assessing other students. This makes it so much easier to make sure students are going on the right sites. It also is nice because when the time is up, the computers go off. I've been looking for something like this to use with my students.

You can use go guardian for a multitude of purposes. You can use a test mode to ensure students are not cheating and can be monitored. You can also use this to check for understanding.
