Reflection

I am hopeful that Go Guardian will allow me to not only keep any eye on students but also see who is moving at a slow pace and needs my help or googling too many questions. 

I have used GoGuardian in the past, but I'm so glad that I watched this tutorial. I primarily use the "screens" page, but after watching the video, I realize that the "Timelines" tab will be much more useful! I can see at a glance whether students are on task. I also didn't realize that I could create my own groups in GoGuardian. This will be helpful when I'm working with groups of students who may not necessarily be on my roster. 

Using GoGuardian in teaching can help create a more engaging and productive online learning environment by allowing teachers to see what students are doing on their devices in real time. This helps keep students focused and on task during lessons. Teachers can also use GoGuardian to block distracting websites, send helpful messages, and check in with students who may need extra support. With these tools, teachers can better manage the classroom, give more personalized help, and make sure all students stay safe and involved in their learning.

Using GoGuardian in your teaching can help make online learning better for both you and your students. You can watch students' screens, so you know if they’re on task or need help. You can close tabs, lock screens, or send students to the right websites, which helps them stay focused and not get distracted. You can send private messages to students to answer questions or give reminders without interrupting the whole class. GoGuardian gives you reports on how students use their time online, so you can see what’s working and make changes if needed.

Integrating GoGuardian into my classroom has made a real difference in how I support and engage students in an online environment. It helps me keep students focused by allowing me to see their screens in real time, so I can quickly step in if someone is off task or needs help, without interrupting the flow of the lesson. I can guide the class more efficiently by opening or closing tabs for them, keeping everyone on the same page. The private chat feature also gives students a comfortable way to ask questions or share concerns. Beyond classroom management, GoGuardian gives me valuable insights into student behavior and helps me teach digital responsibility.

The integration of GoGuardian's features into my teaching practice can significantly enhance my ability to create a more engaging and productive online learning environment through tab management, real time monitoring and off task alerts.

This is will be helpful to ensure the students are working on the assigned task but also to use as a tool of learning in the classroom.  If the students are independently working on their assignment they can share their finding using their screen with the class.  It can help students to gain more confidence.  

Integrating GoGuardian's features into my teaching practices will allow more engaging and productive online learning to take place because students will be active participants and actively engaged in the lesson while allowing me to monitor their progress, success, and on task time.  

GoGuardian for me, has been useful to make sure that students are on task, however I learned a few new skills that I did not know how to do, such as adding a coteacher, viewing the timelines, or even setting certain parameters such as a subject area in the "off task" tab.  This was really neat.  I think making sure students are on task will help them, especially in study hall to be more productive.  

This will help me with my classroom management for several reasons. First, when students are utilizing the chromebook for an assignment, I can monitor progress as well as make sure they are not playing games, completing other work, or looking at tabs they are not supposed to be looking at. I can ensure that students are on task and doing what they are supposed to be doing, and I can close tabs that they are not supposed to be on. 

Go Guardian can enhance my ability to ensure students are productive during block time. During this time, myself and my co teacher are working with a small group of students. We then use a must do/may do board for students who are not pulled. Most of the work assigned is on their Chromebooks. Being able to look at what students are accomplishing during this time and seeing how long they are spending on each task is great information. It will allow me to see if a student really is on task or if they are struggling with an assignment and need to be pulled for reinforcement. It also holds students accountable for their learning during this time.   

Using GoGuardian can help me create a more engaging learning environment by allowing me to create a curated website list that will help limit distractions and increase student productivity. Also, the real-time monitoring feature can help students stay on task or assist students who are struggling with an assignment.
