Reflection

In chemistry class, we often do online simulation activities to reinforce content and chemical processes. These simulations are often done individually on ChromeBooks. I love to have the ability to (1) make sure that my students are on task and (2) give them hints or feedback in real time by watching their progress through the simulation. By monitoring all of their screens, I can see when major misunderstandings are occurring and "pause" the simulations to do immediate interventions. This has been an amazing product to use in my classroom to allow for immediate informal assessment of understanding on virtual simulations and experiments. 

In my Health class I give them time to work on projects and useful websites.  Most students will use my class time to work on the appropriate work.  However I do have students that get off task, this is a good was to monitor that.

Since my students use their chromebooks daily for all lessons in my classroom, it is imperative for me to check to be sure they are on task.  It also helps me to be sure students are not lost with what they should pull up on their chrome-books.  

I am a previous LanSchool user and I have been using GoGuardian since the end of last year it is way more user-friendly. I love the features that GoGuardian provides from unlocking and locking devices to limiting tabs. I use this feature during block time when I am working with small groups of students. I have other students working on their Chromebooks and I only want them to be able to access certain websites and apps. 

I am so excited to use Go Guardian in my classroom, especially while students are working independently on their Chromebooks. I am looking forward to the lock tabs feature so my students can focus on the required work. I think the ability to close tabs will especially be helpful when my students are off task and on other websites that they shouldn’t be on. This website is going to be so great to keep my students on task in the classroom

GoGuardian is going to be great to help monitor many students at once. I can see using it during any chromebook time when I am co-teaching or when I have smaller groups and set them to an activity while I am assessing an individual student. I think students knowing that the teacher is watching will help with keeping kids on task. 

GoGuardian's web filtering capabilities help minimize distractions by blocking access to inappropriate or non-educational websites, allowing students to stay focused on their schoolwork. Activity monitoring enables teachers to identify and address students' needs promptly, ensuring that they are actively engaged in the learning process.

I love that Go Guardian is so easy to use and that it can add students and connect my classes. It is great to be able to monitor the students to make sure that they are staying on task and continuing to be productive when they are asked! Knowing the teacher is monitoring their chromebooks they will be less likel to disengage in what we are doing and learning about in class. I can also pop into each and assess them as they go instead of calling them out to come up to me I can message them if I see them doing something wrong. Great way to give feedback as well.

Go Guardian gives me the opportunity to monitor my kids when they are working in class. If they are in an area that they shouldn't be I can close that window or freeze their screen.  I can also send them private messages to either help them in class or warn them to pay attention. I really look forward to working more with Go Guardian.

I think GoGuardian will enhance my ability to keep students on track during class.  I love that I can post them an individual message during class about the websites they are currently on without drawing unnecessary attention to that student.  I also like the feature where I can close out the tab of any website a student is on that I prefer them not to be on.  I think GoGuardian will help serve as a deterrent for students to wander online during a lesson.  I am looking forward to utilizing this tool, which will help enhance my awareness of what is happening in the classroom in addition to just walking around and viewing their screens.

I am looking forward to experimenting with GoGuardian soon. My plan, with a co-teacher, is to use it with one of our extracurricular clubs. I think it will be a great way to monitor student work/productivity, keep workers on task, etc. I like that the students will know that the teacher(s) is "watching" them while they work. I think GoGuardian will also help with long-term Time Management within classes. I can't wait to give this a try!
