Reflection

As a primary teacher, I did not know this tool was available.  As my kindergarten students learn to navigate their Chromebooks, I love the idea that I can monitor all 20 devices.  This is a great tool for the classroom! 

I believe that go guardian gives me the ability to monitor and help direct online learning more effectively. I can see what the students see and know that they are in the assignment, sites and working in a positive directions. With out this type of tool any online assignments or computer based learning is a gamble since students have the ability to wonder and get distracted easily. I like that I can redirect individually, guide some of the views, and over all know that the time spent on the computer in class is being used efficiently.

GoGuardian is fabulous tool that allows teacher's to specify what type of sources that students should be on while during lessons. You are able to track students abilities to what type of websites they might be using whether they should be on them or not. It is very nice that co-teacher's and other staff have the option of being part of a specific class if they are filling in. 

I love this webpage because it allows us as teachers to see what the students are doing while helping other students.  It holds students accountable for doing their work as they know we can see what they are working on.  We have started using this as students work on their projects and it is so helpful.  3rd graders especially love to see their classmates staying on task as well! 

GoGuardian's features can enhance my ability to create a more engaging and productive online learning environment for students by allowing me an easier way to monitor student Chromebooks during the school day when they are completing an assignment.  Thus, I will know what they do during school hours for searching and assignments and after school hours if Chromebooks are sent home.  I am very excited about this!

I didn't know how easy the interface was !  I know this will help (especially with the tricks that they found about minimizing the YouTube video but working on a google doc).

I feel that utilizing GoGuardian will encourage students to stay focused on the task at hand knowing that I can see what they are logging into during class. This will in turn help students to better manage their time and meet my expectations.

I'm a Special Ed teacher, and my students are easily distracted.  We use Google docs to create organizers and write essays.  This way, I can give feedback on their documents.

I find that some of my students would prefer to use their Chromebooks to game instead of working on an assignment.  I like the feature of being able to enlarge a student's screen to really see what he or she is doing. Being able to close out an open tab, such as a game instead of what they should be working on, is great!

GoGuardian's features are great to use in the classroom.  They can really help me ensure students are doing what they are supposed to be doing, and give me methods to present to them, or keep them on specific sites.  I have used the app to monitor computers in the past, but am excited to use it for viewing their timeline and presenting to students in the future.  

I have never used GoGuardian before but I am excited to get started. This is a great way to monitor student work during technology time. In my health class I usually have the students use their chromebooks to work on assignments at least 3 or 4 times per week. They usually are working in groups so this is a great way for me to see who is working and who might be off task. This is a lot easier than walking around the room to see if they are doing the correct thing since they may be able to just switch tabs when they see me coming over. 

In my Algebra 2 class i allow students to use their chrome books to help them review material and use filtered websites that will help them review.  I often find that the students find a away to look up answers on particular websites and apps.  This would allow me to monitor that without invading their space and potentially embarrassing them.

I think this will be helpful when students have to work on research or independent classwork on their Chromebook. I think to use it during block time when everyone is working on different things and different websites. I can make sure that students are working on what they are supposed to so they are being productive. I also like that I can see what websites they have been using and how long they are using certain ones.
