I forget about using the ELPS booklet for activity ideas.  They aren't just beneficial for the ELL students, but work for all students.

Biggest takeaway

During the training, I liked how the presenter reminded us to check accommodations that have helped students in previous grades. But the true ah ha moment came when the presenter stated that specials teachers also need to plan for our ELL students.

ELPS Takeaway

My biggest takeaway from watching the ELPS video is how to identify EL's and how to use instructional strategies for all students. I also learned that ELPS have to be integrated into instruction of content area TEKS even if there is only one EL in the class.
