Steps to completing an FBA

Step 1: Define the Behavior, this  define the student's behavior.  it is important to be very specific when describing the students behavior, to state exactly what the behavior and not to use vague statements.

Step 2: Gather and Analyze information: this step involves meeting with those who are involved with the student, reviewing student's records, and to conduct test, and screenings to get a better understanding of why the student engages  is the behavior.

Step 3: Find the Reason for the Behavior: once all information is collected the team makes a guess of what the cause of the behavior is.  From this information the team creates a plan for the student to address the plan, and replace the behavior with a more desired activity.

3 Steps

Step 1: Identify and define problem and replacement behaviors, Its is important to know the cause in why certain students are acting out of character so the first step is identifying the problem!

Step 2: Collecting Data. This means providing info on the behavior that is occurring

Step 3: Identify the function of the behavior. A solution to identifying the behavior from time to time is to make a Functional Assessment Matrix also know as a chart.

Functional Behavioral Analysis identify Define collect data and implement and evaluate

Identify behavior this will determine when the correct behavior is observed

collect data at a this gives a record of when where and how  behavior accurs

identify the the function of behavior so the behavior is corrected and proper behaviors accur

Steps to completing an FBA

Step 1: Identify and define the problem and replacement behavior.  This is important because it assures the whoever may be observing the behavior is observing the correct behavior.

Step 2: Collect data.  This is important because it will tell you things like when the behavior occurs, how often, and how long it lasts.

Step 3: Identify the function. This will help identify the reason for the behavior whether it be escape, attention, or something tangible.

FBA Steps

Step one is to identify and define problems and replacement behaviors.
Step two is to collect the data. When, where, and how long the behavior took place.
Step three is to identify the functions of the behavior.

FBA

1st - Identify antecedents, and define each scenerio
2nd- collect data- through direct observation
3rd-identify function on behavior- through obtaining or avoidance

Evidence

Step one is to define and identify behaviors.  It is important to define the behavior by being specific to the case and by being objective. Step one should give the behavior and what was seen leading up to or directly after the behavior.  Step two is data collection, by collecting data in multiple different learning situations teachers and support staff can see when and where the behavior is more likely to occur.  Step three is to identify the function of the behavior which helps to make a plan in the future.

Steps for FBA

1.)identify and define the problem and replacement behaviors.
2.)collect data on the behavior
3.) identify the function of the behavior.

Define, Gather, Reason, Plan.

Define the behavior-be specific
Gather and analyze the information
Find out the reason for the behavior
Then make a plan that could help prevent the behavior from happening

Steps to Completing an FBA

The first of the three steps in the FBA process are Identify and define problem and replacement behaviors, this is key so those who are observing behaviors are able to watch for the correct behavior. The second step is to collect data on the behaviors, this is key to provide information on when, where, and the duration of a behavior so patterns and other triggers can be tracked. The Third step is to Identify the function of the behavior, which is key to determine if the behavior is mean to obtain something or avoid something.

Completing an FBA

1. Identify and define behaviors: It's important to define the behavior because being clear on the behavior will lead to a more effective outcome for intervention.
2. Collect data: Collecting data helps everyone involved in the FBA process determine if and when the behavior is happening is consistent with what the identified behavior is.
3. Identify function of behavior: Those involved with the FBA process of a student will need to think about whether or not the behavior is helping the student obtain or avoid certain things in school. This could drive the approach taken when intervening.
