Some of the things I learned about at CUE so far

I have a makerspace in my library and wanted to learn about what other people are doing with them. I got a number of good tips. I want to help students make videos as alternative assessments and to share their interests. I learned techniques for helping them do that. I learned from Joyce Valenza about great tools I can use for curation and that I can teach my students how to use as well.

Meet other awesome teachers, find new lessons to bring to the classroom and learn about ways to make technology more engaging

I teach English and Journalism at the high school level, and this is my second year teaching. A few learning goals I have while here at that conference are to meet other awesome teachers and begin to build my personal learning network. The school I teach at is also 1:1 with iPads and I am looking find out about apps and programs that I can use to transform existing lessons. Engaging my students is something I am always trying to do and I want to make the technology more engaging while teaching students how to be a responsible digital citizen.

So excited to attend the Info Lit Summit hosted by CSLA!

I have learned so much about Copyright and Fair Use, the Library of Congress website as a resource for primary sources, curation of resources, including Pinterest, SeeSaw, ChatterPix, Shadow Puppet, Destiny Onesearch, and more!  It has been so wonderful to meet new people and stay in touch as part of my PLN.  And the social down time is just as educational as we continue to share resources over dinner!  What a wonderful conference!
