Helping students to be more organized.

I hope that by using Google Classroom assignments it will help me support students' learning by clarifying assignments for students. This will reduce confusion and helps students focus on their work. Well-organized assignments with detailed instructions also make it easier for students to understand what is required of them.

I am happy to have learned how to organize and disseminate information with topics. This online interaction is a great way for me to communicate with my students and their parents. I am excited to use the question feature! It is a great way for me to quickly check in with my students especially since I only see them in my classroom once every six school days.

Lucie Wyatt- Google Classroom 2 response

This was a great review video for me. I have used the Google Classroom to assign activities to students in the past, but I have not used the grading section very much. I plan to use this more often with my classes to get feedback about what we are reading in class and completing projects on Kami and Google Slides. I think these activities will highly engage my students and help them with their computer skills along the way.

My knowledge of Google Classroom assignments will help me create classes that are organized, foster ongoing communication, and make learning engaging through various kinds of assignments. Students can leave private comments to me or respond directly to peers. Some assignments will require independent work while others will involve collaboration. Each Google Classroom offers students a place to check what assignments need to be done and when they need to be completed by. The grading and feedback features will also help students know where they stand academically throughout the trimester and what they have to do in order to improve.

Google Classroom is a great way to help me stay organized and easily share with students resources of variety of types. It is also a great way to turn in assignments in a way that is always accessibly for both students and teachers.

I learned how to organize topics and assignments under the classwork tab, which is helpful for all.

Google Classroom is like a one-stop shop... everything that students need for a class can be right in it.  Google Classroom helps keep all assignments in one place. They can be organized by week, topic, subject, etc. Assignments and topics can be color-coded which really helps students. I know that color coding helps me! Google Classroom is an amazing tool that can help students and teachers.

I have found Google Classroom to be very helpful for my Grade 3-5 classrooms.

Having digital items all in one place can be accessed easily by the students. Sharing items with my Health and Wellness teammates can help us to prepare lessons. Having online assignments can help us keep track of student work and provide feedback.

This was a great reminder of the available features in Google Classroom. I like using topics to keep things organized in the Classwork tab; I usually categorize topics by chapters or units. This helps to keep students organized (even though they prefer to just endlessly scroll the stream looking for things!). I also like the ability to provide more personalized feedback on assignments (grading resumes is sooo much easier in Google!).

Google Classroom makes it easy to organize information and set up an online learning platform for students. Through the use of Topic Headings, I can easily organize classroom content either by unit or by date. This makes it easy for students and parents to access information at a glance. It helps students organize their own notes and information as well.

The variety of assignment options and settings provide an interactive way for students to engage in learning, as well as catch up on what they've missed when absent. As a music teacher, I love that there is an option to post YouTube videos - this is an easy way to share music with my students! This way, they can access some of the music we explore in class at home, too!

Within those options for class material and assignments, Google Classroom implements a variety of settings that allow for effective classroom management with ease. For example, there are settings that allow only one assignment submission from each student. There are settings that allow the teacher to implement a due date and even a specific time. Google Classroom even added an option to "lock" student chromebooks, so that they cannot access other tabs while taking a quiz. These settings allow the teacher to customize each assignment and posting to suit their specific classroom needs.

By posting things other than daily notes.  I post a link to a google form that allows students to tell me daily what homework questions to go over.  That way they don't have to ask in class if they are shy. This makes class time efficient as I know before even starts what questions we are going to talk about.  I like that by posting an assignment is different from material, question, etc.  Students know immediately what they are responsible completing and which posts are for reference.  I have never used emojis before to help visually separate posts or topics.  Looking to add this touch for quick visual reference.  Thank you.
