I think the ability to reuse posts from old classes will be really helpful.  This way, I don't have to grab all the links all over again.  I can just reuse the post from last year and change the due date.  This will be a huge time saver.

I love that students will have the independence and ability to work through the assignments at their own pace.

Stream is nice to be able to reference old materials. Classroom tab is nice to be able to go to different weeks or topics to find where the assignment is.

I can use Google Classroom to assess students in a variety of different ways. I can post materials for students to use in and out of the classroom as a reminder of how to solve something. It can also help if students forget something they can look at it on Google Classroom. I can also assign different activities to different students based on academic needs and strengths. This can also be used to have students work in groups on one document. I can assign students work on Google Classroom to reinforce what I am teaching in the classroom. I do not use the grading feature as much as I would like to. I need to get my students used to the grading on Google Classroom so they can see how they do and see my feedback. Google Classroom provides differentiated instruction.

Google Classroom Assignments

My knowledge of Google Classroom assignments has improved my ability to support students' learning, particularly in terms of assignment setup, by categorizing each folder and then listing all materials or assignments under that specific folder.  This allows for easy access for students to find necessary assignments that they need to complete and turn in.  I also labeled each folder with visual icons to meet the needs of the learners who have more difficulty with reading.

Posting assignments on google classroom is a great way to give students feedback and allow them to use a digital platform,  Students love to do their work on the crome book because it is more than just a paper and pencil.  Google makes it so easy for us to make quizzes, forms, slides ect! As a teacher it is great to be able to look at their work and give them the appropriate feedback or differentiate for each student's needs.

I am excited to use Google Classroom in my classroom to post work for my students to complete while working independently. I think this would be a great option during small group work when I am working with a small group and want my students to complete something independently on their own. I am easily post assignments for my students to complete and then give them feedback right on the Google Classroom.

Google Classroom assignments will allow me to organize my classroom so students can see what material is covered each day.  It will also allow me to upload video notes, assignments, examples, and images for students to use to review material that they may have missed, or to prepare for tests/quizzes.  It will also allow me to differentiate between assignments, tests/quizzes, and material so students can see what things must be done versus the things that are just their to supplement their classroom learning.

I have a clear understanding of posting assignments and materials to Google Classroom. I am able to share information with my students in a very concise manner so they understand the expectations of the course. I can keep students informed especially if they are absent.

Google Classroom assignments

I have always assigned HW to help students practice the skills they have acquired in class. Using the Google Classroom to post said assignments has really helped students in that they can easily go back and check their work once I have graded it.  They don't need to look through reams of paper to find an assignment, especially when they are studying for a test.  I also allow my students to unsubmit assignments after I have checked for completion on my screen.  We review certain answers and they can add info that can serve as notes to help them further understand certain concepts.

This badge gave me several helpful tips for organizing materials in Google as well as the best way to track assignments.  For example, I liked learning how to have the assignment create an individual copy of a doc for each student.  I also liked that Google creates a new blank quiz when you assign a quiz.  It makes the process more streamlined.

As a counselor, I'm considering using Google classroom to "assign" tasks that students need to do at various times during high school.  This lesson is the beginning of my exploration of the best way to do this.  I think that I may incorporate Google Classroom into the scholarship process so that we can encourage more students to participate in the program.  When students see that something is "assigned" to them, they are more likely to complete it.  If I assign scholarship applications, more students may actually complete those applications and potentially benefit from those resources!

Great course for more in-depth use of Google Classroom

I always used Google Classroom very basically and knew the main features to navigate around it.  This course provided so much great knowledge.  I am not able to create assignments as well as quizzes and video uploads right in the google classroom.  I can use this to help students stay organized within their google classroom.
