Posters

I really do think I would put this poster up in my classroom. I think it would be good to spark curiosity as well as make it clear that plagiarism matters in math too. I also feel like Canva could be a good tool for students to create posters on how to solve a specific type of problem and post them around the classroom or in the hallways. It could also be good to have students research examples in the history of mathematics where someone tried to steal another’s work.

For the relevancy to the classroom, if there are any projects to where the students need to use images or content created by other people, then they will need to know if they can use it and credit the author if they do so.  This would be a great way to have a discussion with a class before a project so that way they can learn in a more meaningful way about how their actions affect them and the online world.

Reflection

This is relevant to my future classroom because it is a way I can present to my students, and it is a tool that my students can use as well. I can use this because I can have my students use it as a way to make presentations or take notes. There are many things you can use Google Slides for.

I would definitely use this in my classroom for multiple reasons. One of those reasons is because it has Martin Luther King on it, so it could spark conversation about who he is and what his, "I have a dream" speech is about. I would also use this because I think it is so important, especially in the older grades, for them to know not to plagiarize. I would use this to spark conversation on plagiarism and what that means. I know they may not be aware of that word, so I would give examples of what it could be and how they may get tricked by it. I just think this poster would be a good gateway into conversation about it.

Super easy

As a social studies teacher, I will have to teach my students to cite sources. I like the idea of hanging this exact poster in my room to remind students what information should be included in citations and in what order. Obviously, I would have to cover citations in class in order for the students to understand the poster. However, I think once we have gone over it, this poster would make a handy reminder for students.

In regards to the app, it was very user friendly. This graphic took me a total of 15 minutes to make once I knew what I wanted it to say. As long as I can find a way to print off larger versions of my creations, this app could make classroom decoration much easier. I can also see using this in my classroom as a lesson tool because my students will also be able to easily create all kinds of media.

Reflection

This is very relevant to my future classroom because it is important for students to be educated about plagiarism at a young age. They need to know how serious plagiarism is. Encouraging children to not doubt them selves and be confident in their own ideas. Will build students confidence, allow them to be more independent and contribute in groups. It will help students to see their potential. It is important to show students repercussions associated with plagiarism. Posters about plagiarism in the classroom will help remind students to focus on what they can create and provide for an assignment rather using others ideas and words.

Reflection

This is relevant to my future classroom because it is important for all students to know about plagiarism. Even though I am wanting to teach the early elementary grades, it is still important for students at these ages to become familiar with plagiarism and what it means. If taught about plagiarism at an early age, students would be more likely to avoid plagiarism in the future. I could use a poster like this in my classroom to inform and remind students about plagiarism.

Reflection

This is relevant even in early childhood because it is important for students to learn that we need to use our own work and give credit to others when we borrow or use their ideas. Using the canva app was fun because I am able to create posters with engaging pictures and words. The graphic can draw students in and help them remember why not to plagiarize and what plagiarism looks like. I think teaching students ahead of time abut plagiarism so later in life they can reflect back and have prior knowledge on the topic. Plagiarism happens a lot and there is a lot of backlash that can occur from it. Student should understand the importance of sharing, using their own ideas and crediting others when they like their ideas.

I think this is very relevant to my future classroom, for it is necessary for students to be educated about the issues associated with plagiarism. Encouraging children to focus on how intelligent their own thoughts are instead of focusing on the awful aspects of plagiarism, will allow students to see their potential. Working in a special education classroom it is important to motivate the students to succeed; therefore, showing them the repercussions associated with plagiarizing, will help students focus on what they can provide for an assignment, rather than copying others thoughts.

Canva is super helpful in creating a document without plagiarism because it gives you the opportunity to add "Made by Canva" to your creation.

Reflection

This is relevant to my future classroom because I will have to talk to my children about plagiarizing. Also, I will need to create graphics for my classroom and this allowed me to explore different ways to make a graphic. I will definitely use Canva in the future.

I think that, especially as a future English teacher, plagiarism it’s very important to educate kids about the wrongness of plagiarism. When it comes to writing and coming up with arguments, we can’t rely on other people to do the thinking for us. This is why plagiarism is so serious.

Summary in Body

This is relevant to my future classroom because it is important to emphasize throughout the year to not use someone else's work. I would like to have this poster up in my room to remind students that I care about what they have to say and I want to read their thoughts. The more students know about plagiarism the easier it is going to make their future educational career. Plagiarism will never not be relevant in and outside of the classroom so we should always address this issue.
