I received training from Helen Barrier in The Concept Comparison Routine at the VDOE Co-Teaching Academy. I am looking forward to using the various comparison tables with my students. I think it will be an excellent way to help them differentiate between the similarities and differences of a concept as well as guide them in writing a better summary paragraph in the end.

I participated in the concept comparison workshop in Richmond, VA on July 20, 2018. I look forward to using this routine in my co-taught inclusion classroom for teaching confusing concepts in English 11.

Completed the concept comparison routine on July 20, 2018

I really enjoyed using the concept comparison routine. It is perfect for vocabulary review before a test and to distinguish between concepts that students may get mixed up. I can’t wait to use this in class.

7/20/18 I found this graphic organizer for Concept Comparison to be very helpful.  I feel the students would benefit from using this in my Math 7 class.  I will use it for comparing and contrasting quadrilaterals and others important mathematical concepts.

Completed this concept at the Co-teaching conference July 20,2018

I completed this concept comparison routine at the co-teaching conference on July 20, 2018.  I think would be a good tool to use after teaching the concept and during review.  It would be good to use before assessing.

7/20/18 -- Today I attended training on the Concept Comparison Routine. I particularly liked how it went a step beyond a basic venn diagram.

7-20-2018 Received training at Excellence in Co-Teaching Demonstration Site Summer Session

This will be a great organizer for comparing quadrilaterals, area and perimeter, surface area and volume, equations and inequalities, etc.  I am so excited to share this with my students and colleagues.
