The Frame is a graphic organizer that helps students to organize material related to a key topic.
Today we learned about an instructional method called the Framing Routine. The FRAME is a visual toll used to help all students learn about key topics and essential details related to those topics.
The framing routine we develop was around a training that we are in the process of creating- It was a useful way to cross populate the information. during the training we are looking at some overall instructional components and then applying them to Phonology instruction and Orthography Instruction-
The checklist had said parallel structure (does it need to be in phrases?) so we thought we were on the right track= I also agree with the idea we needed to beef up the "So What"- so we did: Phonology and Orthography are vital to accurate decoding, especially because accurate and automatic decoding accounts for 80% variance in reading comprehension.
