First SIM Training July 11-14, 2016

I attended my first SIM training in Port Charlotte on July 11-14, 2016. I loved the trainers and the CERs. It was so logical and useful right from the start. I have been using the FRAME routine, among others, ever since.

4/25/18 - Reflection

I really liked learning about the framing routine, practicing framing routines, and having the gallery walk to see other examples. Feedback on the post its was very meaningful, because they may have had a better understanding than myself. However, it would have been more beneficial to have a professional trainer to also go over the examples with the members at each table.

4/25/18 Framing Routine

The frame developed base based on the return to learn concussion management protocol developed through BrainSteps, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and endorsed by the United States Center for Disease Control. The framing routine guides a user through sequential series of learning objectives to understand and implement the knowledge being imparted.

4/25/18 Framing Routine

In our framing routine we used a common training topic, concussion.  We were able to break it down in a concrete way and sift through the main ideas and key details.  It was a good exercise how you can see it's usefulness for brainstorming and then placing order of sequence and importance after you get all of your ideas on paper.
