This is a recap of a previously submitted reflection that was deleted by Badgelist and possible user error :-).
I particularly liked the training we received for the CER, The Framing Routine. Already versed in Cornell 2 column note techniques, I can see that the FRAME goes a step further to support students who struggle with executive functioning by providing a variety of visual formats to organize the main idea(s) and details into succinct elements for better comprehension and written responses. FRAME can also be used more creatively to help build a cognitive schema of a variety of types of information both fiction and non-fiction including directions, timelines, organizational charts, movie synopsis and more. After the initial training I was able to FRAME preparation for my organization's annual conference independently.
