Frame with Slope

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CQcFDLGktCDOmO2yKL-2i0xshBoKhzo-wJoA-MEPV3w/edit

Each student had to create their own Frame as an introduction to understanding types of slopes, what they look like and how to identify them. Students were encouraged to be creative  using various colors and designs.  At end of activity, students were able to describe slopes and their attributes

The Implementation of the Frame

My co-teacher and I decided to introduce the Frame to our eleventh graders who were struggling developing ideas for their persuasive essays. The students were struggling with developing their thoughts for a persuasive paper with a counter argument. The size of the class was 28 students.  The length of implementation was a week, (3 class sessions). Providing a sample and modeling the Frame for the students was a great way to assist the students in developing an understanding for writing a persuasive paper.
