This frame was created and constructed with a 2nd grade class. It was too difficult as a beginning frame and I decided to use a different frame until the students are better at the process.

Co-Construct and Instruct

My Co-Teaching partner and I were able to observe how the students stayed focused on the main ideas.  The students were allowed to be creative thinkers as we were completing the Frame together.   Included is a student sample of the Framing Routine.  Our key topic was Solid Figures.  The students needed to identify, describe and compare the three-dimensional shapes discussed by looking at the faces, sides, vertices, and coming up with a real-life example.
