GC Response

The grading response is based on the Rubric provided to the students, in the example Julie used the scoring options ranged from 0-3.  However, when looking at my EADMS account I was able to evaluate other tests.  I noticed in math students were able to answer math questions, site formulas, etc.  I also noticed that teachers are able to Comment and give a descriptive response to the answer.  This would be helpful for complimenting a student's answer and making corrective responses when an answer is wrong.

Score all of the same item (all students) at the same time. Rubric - assign points. NOTE: If secondary, you will see all students from all periods for each item.

Constructed Response

For constructed response there is a rubric for each question. You can grade students from 0-3 based on what their response was. You see exactly what the student wrote and how it was entered for each student.  You are able to see all the responses that need to be graded even if there are multiple periods of student who took the test. . If there are multiple questions that need to be graded at the top you can jump to a new constructed response question that is ready to be graded. All the scores are added to the students final scores and the grading is saved as it goes along.

Grading Constructed Response Items

Once selecting the test you are grading, you are shown the rubric for the response with examples of the possible responses.  You are then shown the students responses and a bubble selection to grade each questions based on the rubric.  Once grade is selected it is automatically saved.

Constructed Responses

EADMS allows for questions to be graded utilizing a rubric that includes descriptions of responses with their scores. You also have access to every student's responses and compare to the rubric to give them a final score.

How to grade Constructed Response Questions...

When you are in EADMS, there is a widget that allows you to grade constructed response questions.  Once you are on the homepage, there is a drop down bar that allows teachers to select the CR question to be graded.  Then, you have a list of your students' names that were given the assessment. There is a rubric next to every student. The teacher can select whatever score (0-3) the student deserves according to the rubric for that question. Once all students have been graded, you can go to the next CR question to grade.  After all have been graded, the scores are then totaled automatically for all the students.

How to score constructed response questions.

If you gave a test in EADMS with constructed response questions, you need to grade the CR questions before running your report.  Once logged into grading, you will see the question/passage as students saw them, then as you scroll down, you will see the rubric for grading that specific question. You will then see all scores given by enrolled students of yours that took the test, almost in a list fashion. Using the rubric, you will click on the number of points the student’s response earned. EADMS will automatically save the score given as you go along and will then add the points to the students calculated score so that it is there when you run your reports.  There is not specific feedback that can be given to students, only a point value.

Grading Constructed response items

The evaluating rubric gives scores, reaction portrayals, and test reactions for each conceivable rubric score. Instructors at that point can peruse the understudy reactions. The instructor can study the understudy reaction, decide a score, and click the earned rubric score.

CR Grading Options

For constructed response questions, teachers can see the number of students who took the test, the students' responses, and the question stems. They also provide anchor responses and rubrics to help with scoring the responses. You can also hide students' names and choose to just show responses that still need to be graded.
