Constructed Response

Adding a constructed response question was rather easy. By clicking on the rubric, I can see what I should be looking for in a constructed response. Inputing the grade for constructed responses seems to be rather easy.

Grading Constructed Response (GCR)

Grading Constructed Response Anchor responses are provided with a rubric for scoring. Teachers can read the full student response with teachers choosing the rubric outcome number (0, 1, 2, 3), click! Scores are automatically totaled.  We can review individual student scores or whole classroom.  Additionally, there are options when grading such as saving scores and hiding student names.

Constructive Response Feedback

Teachers are able to see the test question and efficiently compare their students' answers to a rubric and sample responses. Once a teacher observes a students' response, he, or she, can grade each student's answers based on descriptors and anchor responses. Grades are at a range from 0-3. This method is an organized and effective way of scoring.

Grading

Julie showed how to grade a constructive response type question that was a rubric style grade. I would imaging that a fill in response would be just a correct/incorrect.  There was no mention in the video regarding feedback options.

Grading Constructed Response Items

When a teacher goes to grade constructed-response items, they are provided with sample response (anchor responses) as well as a rubric that you can use to score the response against.  Responses are graded on a scale from 0-3.   It is then added to auto score.  Assessment feedback isn't given to the teacher until the grading is finished and there is an ability to generate reports.

constructed response

EADMS has made grading a constructed response question quick and easy.  Once you are on the test you selected the question you want to grade.  The question itself, as students see it shows up.  You are given all of the students’ response, as well as a rubric by which to grade it by.   It is nice to be able to grade all like questions at a time.  You can even hide the students’ info to do blind grading.  You are able to select a 0, 1, 2, or 3 and it is automatically saved.   Once you move to the next question the students’ scores are automatically added to their grade.  It is very quick and easy.   In fact, I can see that this would be a great practice to do throughout the year, using one question at a time and testing specific skills.

Grading Constructed Response Items

When grading constructed-response items, teachers are provided with anchor sample answers and a rubric to score with. The CRIs are graded on a 3, 2, 1, 0 scale. There isn't assessment feedback given to the teacher until the grading is finished and the reports are generated.

Grading Constructed Response Items

For grading the constructed response questions, compare the student's answer to the grading rubric provided for that answer. The rubric provides a description of the answer with the number of points for each description.  An effective feature about CR is the teacher is able to read all students' responses at the same time as for easier grading and just click the desired rubric number. Graded responses are automatically figured into their graded test score upon completion of grading.

Description of feedback and grading options on CRQs in EADMS

EADMS makes grading constructed response questions as quick and easy as possible. A widget gets you to your classroom roster where you choose the test and the particular question you wish to grade for each student. The nice thing about this is the answers for a particular question are listed in the same space with the question, rubric, and sample answer also displayed as an anchor. When you enter 3, 2, 1, or 0 for each answer, the score is auto saved. You can hide student info for blind grading, select to see only students whose answers still need to be scored, and other options. When you move to the next question, the scores are automatically tallied with the previous CR scores. Pretty painless!

The constructed response grading feature in EADMS has a number of grading feedback features.

One way feedback is communicated is with a rubric.  This communicates what students need to do in the response.  Grading with a rubric score can be done by question number or by student.  Another thing teachers can do is write comments to provide feedback.
