How is this relevant to your future classroom? How could you use this? You can talk about your ISTE standard of choice here as well. This reflection should be specific and should be a healthy paragraph--not a few simple sentences.

Earning my Apple Teacher iPad certification is important because it is a step toward my goal of constantly improving myself and my educational methods. Taking a course to overview how the iPad apps can be used in the classroom is just the sort of professional development that I want to be seeking out and completing. I have several new ideas for things to do in the classroom to take advantage of these apps and the ways they can allow differentiation of class assignments. The ISTE standard I chose mentions "exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning." I believe that earning this badge, and continuing to play with my iPad, will help me grow comfortable enough with the technology that I may implement it creatively in my classroom.

Technology is pivotal for the classroom

I use my iPad for almost everything I do. To read, draw, take notes, and do homework. Being able to incorporate technology into the classroom can help my and my students come together and learn in accessible environment

Having earned these badges is relevant to my future classroom because they demonstrate the access I have to various resources. Thanks to the information provided through the different iPad guides and tutorials, I now have more media that I can implement into future lesson plans. Not only can these diverse applications be used to make learning more fun and creative, the features and updates also allow for a more accessible education. Considering there are feature like the assistive touch, students who require accommodations may appreciate a teacher who can share access to these resources.

This is relevant to me because being aware of the tools that are available to me will be beneficial for my students and I in the future. Apple provides many helpful tools that can be used in many fun ways that students would enjoy.

I find being more aware of the tools provided through Apple Teacher is inherently relevant to my future classroom as it provides me and my students with a variety of tools and methods to demonstrate their knowledge, allow for students to be creative, and allows for me to engage all different types of learning. Some examples of how these tools can be used are as follows, first I can see using pages for run of the mill papers, but with the options of keynote and iMovie, students can make interactive presentations and movies with things like interviews, primary source analysis in videos etc. The standard I picked for this is the Facilitator standard as when it comes to technology especially in a presentation form, I value allowing students coming up with their own ideas and trying to solve issues that arise rather than me just saying I want a movie and so on.

Reflection of Badge

The Apple badges are relevant for my future classroom because Apple is the leading brand of current technology and will likely be heavily implemented in classrooms when I am a teacher. The apple badges, such as Pages and Numbers will be very useful for creating documents, keeping track of data, and planning technology-based activities. Other Apple services allow me to create powerpoints and presentations. They have many creative features for myself and my future students. This knowledge also applies to them as well. Many schools are beginning to buy a school set or a class set of iPads. Being able to generate iPad-focused activities for my students will allow them to practice technological creativity.

I think iMovie and Keynote could be incredibly useful in my classroom because it would provide a way to make presentations. Also, they have options to record voice, which would make it possible for students to give presentations without having to stand in front of the class. With Numbers, I don't see how I would use that for teaching, but I think it could be beneficial for organization just for me. For example, it would allow me to keep track of grades, attendance, etc. Most likely, the school I work for will have a program like this already, but it would be nice to keep track of these things on my own as well, and I like the way Numbers was organized. Most of these programs are ones I would feel more comfortable using on my MacBook, but if my students have iPads, these would be great programs for them to learn how to use.

This is relevant because

This is relevant for my future classroom because I will be able to navigate my students through the ipad and as time goes on the more usage of technology comes into play. I can use this by have a time during the day to show the students many hacks on the ipad

This is relevant to my classroom because it showed how I can use Apple products to foster creativity as well as be inclusive. There are so many ways that these apps can be used in the classroom. They can be used for formative assessments, summative assessments, collaboration in groups, and more. Specifically, Keynote could be very helpful for teaching students how to present their ideas effectively. I think that the ISTE standards for Designer, Collaborator, and Facilitator apply to the process of using these apps in the classroom. As a teacher, these apps will allow me to be creative with my assignments and allow students to collaborate in using the technology.

It's relevant because as the use of technology in school is increasing it's important for teachers to stay up to date with how to use these apps. I also found it helpful because despite owning my Ipad for two years now, I was surprised to see I did not know how to use most of the apps on there. I can also use my learnings from this activity to pass onto my students or come up with creative ways to incorporate these apps into my classroom.

This was extremely relevant to my future classroom. As a language teacher, we can not naturally bring in culture and dialects from around the room. Due to that, we must rely on technology. Additionally, I believe that in my classroom, there will be a lot of presentations and other activities like that to allow the students to use language. However, it is necessary that I can guide them through the applications in order for them to have a better opportunity to create their presentations.

Tablets are cool I guess

I initially hated apple products. Compatibility with an ipad is poor but I'll pretend it isn't. More students are getting tablets in school to use especially during the pandemic. Tablets are a great way to implement ISTE Standard Global Collaborator. Students have the opportunity to collaborate digitally. Students have been using zoom and seesaw for the last couple semesters which is a perfect example of the standard. Students can also have the opportunity to partake in online events such as webinars or other informational things that involve being online.
