Right now it's a little confusing. I'm sure I'll understand once I get into it a little more.

Micro-credentialing and SIM

I love this idea!  I think it will be a great way to keep track of all that I've accomplished along with all the training I have completed.
I would like to see a check list because I'm not sure that I'm completing everything that I need to complete.

This can in establish specific PDer competencies as well as determining teacher competencies in delivering instruction with fidelity.

Patty Graner's presentation on increasing more practitioners of SIM with the use of micro credentialing.

The micro-credentialing  process will be a powerful process to increase the implementation of SIM throughout the country.  This will expand strategic learning for struggling learners as they are taught by teachers who have the added credentials for using SIM instruction.

I think that Micro-credentialing will keep everyone current, and up-to-date.

I am thinking that it is a good incentive for teachers as well as showing evidence of good teaching.

Intriguing

The micro credential idea and process is intriguing. It has great potential but also has many questions with it.

I think that they are confusing at this time.

I think that they are confusing at this time. I am not sure what we are discussing with this. Are we talking about getting rid of the way the PD is done now?  If we are looking for fidelity isn't that why they need to create a portfolio to demonstrate mastery?  Are we talking about a shortcut to this? How is this different from the paper copy besides being more transferrable for a resume or application.  I am not against the idea of badges, I just am not sure what is added that makes this better than the paper copy which is generally electronic too.
