I feel this is a good way of working with teachers that are really excited about moving forward with SIM and share with other teachers.

Exciting concept! Very forward thinking!

i am excited but also, cautiously optimistic. I understand the concept but I am concerned about the management. I want to make sure that the fidelity of the routine is maintained.
I also think that this idea will build enthusiasm among Florida educators. It may also encourage implementation with the outcome of being able to instruct others.

A great way to share your expertise and network with others.

I like the idea of SIM micro credentialing as it will allow PDers reveal their evidence of LS or CE mastery at a nationwide or intl level.

I look forward to sharing with our State Committee at our next meeting in February as we plan the Iowa Conference.

Micro-Credentialing is a nice idea. I do not know if I would use it on Mozilla, Linkdin, or Facebook. Would love more info.

It is hard to figure out how to upload files, pictures, etc.

I think this is a great way to recognize individuals who are providing effective instruction in the classroom and/or effective coaching.

The benefits of SIM in my classroom are measureable by scores but immeasurable by the independence provided to my students.

In my time with SIM, I have acquired a great deal of resources, and support that I have carried back to my classroom.  I have implemented many of the Content Enhancements and Learning Strategies with great success in conjunction with the assigned and required curriculum.  As an Intensive Reading teacher (formerly 9th grade, currently 11th grade), I have seen gains in student vocabulary skills thanks to the implementation of Word Mapping.  I have seen students understand bigger picture concepts by use of Unit Organizer, Course Organizer, etc.  My students stop and think about specific questions and evaluate what they are being asked by using the Inference Strategy.  My students have acquired Listening and Note-Taking skills, and Test-Taking strategies - all leading to the improvement in their independent learning goals.  There is not enough that can be said about the benefits of implementing the enhancements and strategies - as we truly build independent learners.

This session provided information and hands on practice for micro-credentials for SIM

I like the micro-credentialing idea.  The session was informative.  I will need a workday (or more) in order to be fluent in this process and to gather and upload evidence.

Credentially may be a value may be a value within community to identify and acknowledge individuals skills

Interesting way to acknowledge and share expertise of SIM 'users' within the community. I'm not personally invested in this process, but maybe I will be once I see how this adds value to what we do.

This system may be useful for expanding our pool of PDers in the Panhandle of Florida.
