FRAME was used with a group of teachers during a professional development activity to discuss the Charlotte Danielson Framework.

Using the FRAME with a group of teachers during a professional development session went well.  The Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching can be very overwhelming to teachers due to its comprehensiveness.  As a group, we co-constructed the FRAME after learning about all the components.  The teachers seemed to respond well to using the FRAME and filling in all the required components.  It helped to serve as a summary of the key details of the Charlotte Danielson Framework.

Framing routine for reviewing the 3 components of The Impact Cycle with Coaches in P2G

The Framing routine was introduced to participants during our 2-22-19 coaching PLC.  I introduced the topic, the purpose and expectation of using the FRAME to review previously taught content.  

The three main ideas of The Impact Cycle were introduced and then participants paired up with another person to add key detail to each of the main ideas.  They could use their books to help them as well.  They shared these out and then created a So What Statement which we added.

The extension was to share with a partner a successful experience they had in one of the three components of the impact cycle.

Questions were asked to review the content as well as which part of the frame was the most important.
