Screencastify

I taught my mother in law how to use screencastify so that she can make videos for her employees on how to do their work from home using their website and other information. My mother in law was telling me she was having a hard time explaining things to employees over the phone or through email. So, that is when I suggest Screencastify and then I taught her how to use it.

I taught my mom

I taught my mom how to use Facebook a couple years ago.... It was difficult, but worth it in the long run.  She is able to keep up with family back in Wisconsin and colleagues she use to work with.

She reached out asking for help with help with Class link, Google classroom, and creating assignments using Goggle Slide.

Nearpod

I taught my mom how to use Nearpod, both from a student perspective. As well as from, a teacher perspective. I taught her how to create Nearpod activities, and she was highly impressed by the active engagement we could give kids.

I taught my mom how to use google classroom.

Since my sister is at home she has to do distance learning as well. She needed to access her google classroom. I taught my mom how to view and submit assignments.I also navigated her through other tools they are using.

I showed a parent how to access the distance learning section and additional resources inside my Google classroom.

I first walked the parent through logging into the student's school email address and accept the invitation to my google classroom. Then I showed her where to locate classwork and additional resources that we will use for distance learning. I showed her how to access the classroom through the email invite and by using the classroom code.

I was able to teach my parents how to join my google classroom!

I was able to teach my parents how to join my google classroom! It was great seeing them get the kiddos logged on and respond to their first readers response question today.
