Reflection

Twitter is relevant to my future classroom because it is a place for collaborators in the field of education to communicate with one another. Twitter’s use for me now as a student is it’s a space where I can network and learn about the field of education from real life educators. As a teacher, I can still network and learn, but I can also help pre-service teachers and other teachers by sharing my own ideas. 

I do not see myself using Twitter with kindergarten or first graders, but I can see myself using it as a professional as well as now as a student.  With the Twitter Chats and all the influential educators, I can see the benefits from using it as a teacher and pre-service teacher.  This would help with the ISTE standard of learner.  

For now as a student this is helpful to gain information and complete assignments. I think for my future as an educator using this will be helpful to keep track of students learning and guiding them while using the resource of technology. 

I cannot see myself using Twitter with 2nd graders, but I do see a lot of value in the information and people on twitter. As a student and a teacher I can follow a lot of really experienced educators that will be able to post information that can aid me in being more prepared for the challenges I will face. It is very valuable to have the ability to reach out to anyone on the app, no matter where they are. Being a global collaborator is made extremely easy with Twitter. I plan to follow as many experienced people as I can so I can learn from them. 

This is relevant for my future teaching career because I can use twitter to connect with other educators. I can learn up to date information and teaching strategies through others accounts. I will practice the collaborative portion of the ISTE education standards. Truthfully, I will not have my future students use twitter.

Twitter can be used in my classroom through chats within our class, with other classes in our school, with other schools in the district or globally. This would help my students connect with other students and share their work. I also can use Twitter to connect with other educators and get ideas and help when needed. Twitter chats can help us stay connected with others around us.

I'm not sure how relevant twitter will be to my specific classroom because I am aiming towards first and second grade. However, on the professional side, I believe twitter will be helpful for collaborating with other educators in my class range. In addition, it will helpful to receive advice on things I have questions about. As student now, I can start building up connections for when I do reach the professional world. As a teacher, I can use twitter as a resource to connect with other teachers. As someone who is not very tech savvy, I believe the ISTE standard of Learner will apply to my path with twitter. 

This platform can be used in the classroom through the use of classroom or community chats. This can be used through communicating to the class and through each student sharing their personal answer and adding pictures, emojis, or GIFS. 
My two standards fit here, because teachers are actively learning different platforms that can be implemented in the classroom (learner) and through collaborating through the use of online platforms or with people in the school (collaborator). 

this is relevant because it will help me be creative and engaging with my students. Technology is a huge part of school and i want to use it and all its potential! 

I have learned new and exciting ways to use Twitter in my classroom. One of the ways is that I learned how to do twitter chats and think that is a great way for students to interact with one another on a social media platform!

This can be relevant in my future classroom by connecting to other teachers and their ideas! Twitter can help build you PLCs!

I will use the ISTE standards to make students creative communicators. I want all of my future students to be creative when learning because its when students learn the most and have fun.
