How is this relevant to your future classroom? How could you use this? You can talk about your ISTE standard of choice here as well. This reflection should be specific and should be a healthy paragraph--not a few simple sentences.

These apps can help in many different ways in my classroom.

The world is evolving and you can do almost anything on technology now, so why not take advantage of it! I think it is important though if we are implementing something into our classrooms, we as educators know how to use most if not every tool on the app. I like that these badges give short quizzes and tours and it is an easy way to help become very familiar with each app and all of its qualities. Also these apps have many uses in the classroom from allowing kids to play and present with them or the teacher using them to teach a lesson. The opportunities are endless and it is very important to know how to use them in our future classrooms.

Being an Apple Teacher enables me to use different types of technology in my classroom to teach a lesson or assign a project. This gives me a way to assign a fun activity rather than just worksheets all day. I would use Apple Teacher to engage with other teachers on how to implement different Apple-based activities and assignments in my classroom. I think there are some great benefits to Apple Teacher because they can make boring assignments more fun and challenging with using technology. When I say challenging, I mean in a good way. We are in a technology-based society and many teens are going to be excited to use tech in the classroom. I think the ISTE standard that goes well with Apple Teacher is:
Learner:
Educators continually improve their practice by learning from and with others and exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning.
Educators:
a. Set professional learning goals to explore and apply pedagogical approaches made possible by technology and reflect on their effectiveness.
b. Pursue professional interests by creating and actively participating in local and global learning networks.
c. Stay current with research that supports improved student learning outcomes, including findings from the learning sciences.

Learner seemed to be the best choice because we are constantly learning new technology for the classroom and looking for ideas on how to spark imagination in our students. Using technology is a good tool and resource for creativity.

I used the Learner standard for Apple Teacher because I was mainly learning about resources I had never used before. I am glad I had to take the time to take the quizzes because there were a lot of features that are included that may be beneficial for projects in any subject area. Now, that I am a learner and can continue to practice so that my students become learners as well and see the utility certain applications have in the classroom. For the notes app and keynote app, they are great resources to help students make presentations and be creative. l usually leaned towards Google slides but I like that I can provide my students with options because everyone may prefer different resources. For a math classroom, I do not know how I could use the GarageBand app but I would love to use keynote for class projects in which students present about significant historical mathematical figures.

This helped me learn how to be more efficient when using my iPad. This will be great for my future classroom and when using it in my classes now.

Relevance, use, and ISTE Standard.

Every single mini-lesson that I took to become Apple Teacher certified seemed like it could be very useful in my future classroom. Knowing the general layout of the IPad is very helpful and ensures that I can help my students naviagate the device if they come across issues working it. Pages would be very helpful in giving students an excellent platform to create a poster or anything else that needs unique shapes in the design. My other favorite feature is the interactive books feature. I think it would be great to have students create their own stories through this or even change up the way they do a presentation. Keynote is a great app that students can created research based presentations on. There are a lot of helpful features in Keynote that do not appear in PowerPoint. If I am having students create a presentation this will give them a lot of freedom to create unique, interesting presentations. Numbers is an app that I had no idea could be so useful. The obvious use of it would be to create charts and spreadsheets. I think the app would be very easy for students to figure out and create their own charts in math classes. In the app there is a feature that can calculate different numbers based on the charts or spreadsheets made and I think this could be a create tool for students to check if their calculations are correct in math. I really enjoyed learning more about iMovie. I have used it very briefly and I always had a lot of fun with it. If students are making a video about a topic or acting out a skit they could use the app to edit the video just how they like it. GarageBand could be a good tool when making soundscapes for a history class. Soundscapes are pieces of sound composed from clips or instruments that are meant to be paired with an image or topic that helps the student feel as if they are in the photo or time period. The ISTE standard that feels most relevant to the apps would be the Creative Communicator standard. All of these apps promote creativity and they could accomplish many creative goals and projects using them.
