Narrative of implementation experiences

After completing Word ID, I gave the pretest for Self-Questioning and begin this strategy around October 15, 2020 and we took the posttest around January 13, 2021.  Throughout the Self-Questioning Strategy we finished reading "Freak the Mighty" and completed a Flipbook resource.  We also continued to work on Word Mapping, usually one lesson per week.
Self-Questioning was more difficult during Covid because we were trying to keep space between students.  We still completed the work with peers, but not at much as we should have done for full implementation.  The students did well with the strategy, but it was not their favorite.  I think they didn't like putting in so much work, just to read a passage, but they did improve their comprehension, based on their post test scores, so that helped.
