The "Pick 6" Station rotation options in the classroom allows for constant differentiation to happen.

We learned about the following station rotation options:

1) Direct + Independent  - Small group instruction station and an independent station.
2) Conference + Independent - Majority of the class is working independently. The teacher meets with individuals at the conferencing station.
3) Collaboration + Independence - Students are divided into two differentiated learning groups.
4) Conference + Collaboration - The majority of the class work in collaborative groups. The teacher meets with individuals based on differentiated needs.
5) 3 Station/Direct + Collaboration + Independent - Students are divided into 3 differentiated learning groups. There is a small group direct instruction station with the teacher, a collaborative station where students work together on a task, and an independent station where the students use one of the digital content tools.
6) Mastery based groups - Each station represents an objective/standards to be mastered by the students.

BLENDING LEARNING

Te speaker was very helpful. Seeing how blending learning is helpful in and out the classroom, and some one like , myself who didn't really know what blending learning was very well helps me a lot understand how important it is for the kid.

Don't rotate during a 50 minute period

instead "rotate" on a different day/period.

Education is not a ONE SIZE FITS ALL matter.

The amount of information students process varies from student to student and this in turn varies the amount of time it takes to be understood.

Blended learning benefits more students.

When using blended leaning students get a more individualized  lesson. This benefits them because it is better than a one size fits all learning approach.
