Reduce Class size

Blended learning is a way to reduce class size.  While a group of students work independently, the teacher can provide direct instruction to a smaller group of students - essentially reducing class size.

I liked the connection between Pokemon Go having a strong communal aspect to it, and reaching our students/creating a community with them through a blended learning environment.

There are various methods for blended learning. Class size, time and needs determine which one is the best fit.

Pick 6 The presenter showed us 6 different sitting arrangements to apply 6 different ways of doing blended instruction -

1st model worked great for assessing, the last model was ideal and for the most mature instruction.  This includes 6 stations all with 6 different academic objectives, students know where to go when they look up at a teacher-created slide.
This last model is my ultimate goal.

We can incorporate blended learning in all subjects.

When I use to think of blended learning I assumed it should and could only be used for ELA but now I have been able to use it in other subjects. My favorite subject to use blended learning for is Math.

Ed.-go "gotta reach them all" was a good reminder that we should be trying to build positive relationships with as many students as we can.
