How can you use QR codes in your class?

Access Granted!

You can use QR codes in your classroom for many different things! I have had students access specific websites for research. You can direct students to games, quizzes, photos or text. This can be a quick way to access these things whole group, or QR codes can be used for independent center activities.

What's Next?

I plan on using QR codes in at least 2 lessons of every unit. Our students LOVE QR codes, and they even enjoy making their own! I tend to focus on vocabulary or introduction lessons when using QR codes.

Reviews, skill check, information on a topic

I can sue QR codes to review for a test, check and see what students need additional help with a concept, frontload a topic or idea for a subject area

Ideas for what's next

I would like to try a few different things to take my QR code-fu to the next level. Here are some of my ideas to try:
--Including QR codes in a breakout
--Differentiating using QR codes...have different kids go to different QR codes (numbered, colored, etc) which go to different resources
--A QR code scavenger hunt that leads them around the room to different things
--Displaying student work using QR codes
--Augmented reality using triggers (kinda like QR codes)
