Large Language Models uses the largest amount of information possible, including everything on the internet, and uses this to generate new information to create essays, poems, conversations, etc. The "magic" of AI is based on very simple math concepts.  It uses probabilities to predict texts and to create tables of possibilities.  Generative AI is used to create new, original content such as images, videos and texts.  Predictive AI uses machine learning to identify patterns in past events to make predictions about future events.  It sees trends and predicts risks.

Overview of what a large language model is and the difference between generative and predictive AI.

A large language model is a language model notable for its ability to achieve general purpose language generation and other language processing tasks such as classification.

Generative AI brings creativity to the table with advanced models. It crafts images, text, videos, and code from simple user prompts.

Predictive AI digs through vast datasets to spot trends over time.

Explain what Large Language Models are Describe the difference between generative and predictive AI.

Explain what Large Language Models are:
Large Language Models are an artificial intelligence system that is based on simple math concepts such as probability and statistics to understand and create human-like text. These are trained on large amounts of text data from the internet. Information is collected from books, articles, and websites. It goes above simple tasks such as facial recognition.

Describe the difference between generative and predictive AI:

Generative AI creates new content similar to what has been searched. These systems make original outputs based on learned patterns and distributions within the training data. Generative AI can produce newer interesting images, text, or audio.

Predictive AI creates content based on historical data and patterns. It focuses on past data to make predictions about future events. Predictive AI doesn't generate new data. It estimates probable future outcomes based on existing information.

Large Language Model

A Large Language Model is created on basic simple math concepts. The technology uses a table of probabilities and sequence of letters. It is compared to the brain with its neural network. This model learns new information and gives simple answers. While it learns more, it can then come up with complicated patterns. Super interesting how it is explained using Shakespeare. The fact that these models can create poems, books, movies, games, etc. is kind of scary but exciting.
The difference between generative and predictive AI comes down to data. Generative AI creates new content and data while the predictive uses existing data to make educated guesses for future outcomes.

What is a Language Model

Large language models are trained on the largest parts of language information as possible, such as everything available on the internet. It uses its training to generate new information. This can range from writing essays or poems, having conversations or even written code. This technology is being used to help produce apps and websites, construct movies and video games and even discover new medicine. These models use differentiated forms of communication through generative and predictive models. Some language models first focus on learning and predicting letters in the alphabet to generate written word or code. Others focus on scanning through the internet first, then moving towards tokens. Such practices like these require large amounts of human tuning to help produce a wide range of results.

What are LLM's and what is the difference between predictive and generative AI

Large Language Models (LLMs) are computer programs that are fed a huge amount of information from the internet.  A Chatbot, such as ChatGPT, is given a specific task, and then uses all of that stored information to create new writings.  It is based on statistics and probability of the of letters or words that likely come next.

Predictive AI creates new information by starting with random letters, words, or sentences and then using probabilities to predict what would come next. Generative AI can create new products such as images, video games, etc based on the information you give it. LLMs are able to "learn" from the information they have but it is not always right. It requires fine tuning from humans along the way for better results.

Simple Math Concepts

Chatbots and Large Language Models use simple math concepts of statistics & probability.  It starts with all of the info, then analyzes it and then generates new.  Chatgpt uses all of the info on the internet, then looks for codes, then needs humans to help fine tune the system.

LLM and AI

A new AI technology based on math concepts like statistics. Large Language models recognize a large amount of information, then summarize, translate, predict, and generate content. This can be helpful to create websites, apps, video games and even produce movies.

Generative AI will analyze data and use probabilities to generate new content. Predictive AI uses a neural network to learn patterns and uses probabilities to predict content.

LLMs take info. from internet and with training, can generate new information. Generative and Predictive AI have differences.

  • Explain what Large Language Models are
Chatbots use Large Language Models is what Chatbots are using. They take the largest amount of information possible like everything available on the Internet. Uses training to be able to generate completely new information like to write essays or poems, have conversations, or write code.  Companies are using them in all kinds of new ways.  In education, teachers could use to generate lessons or tests.  Students can use to make presentations like pictures, videos, text, etc. ChatGPT trains on all the information it can find on internet.  Instead of learning from just the small amount of information, it looks at more such as tokens and code.  It needs a lot of human tuning to get reasonably accurate results.  It can often get things wrong.  Is there actual intelligence? LLM produces amazing results like to create apps, websites, producing movies, and discovering new drugs.
  • Describe the difference between generative and predictive AI.
Generative AI can create images or videos and needs user prompts.  Predictive AI uses probabilities based on previous texts.  They are based on math from statistics.    Needs to be trained to look at more, use a neural network.  They are trained on a large body of information.  Can learn to take in new information and make some answers based on probabilities.   Predictive AI is like a brain's neural network that gets trained to look at a whole body of information.  It needs humans to set it up.  Once enough information is input, the neural network can learn from the information.  It uses probabilities and training and give answers.

Large Language Models

Large Language Models (LLMs) are computer programs that are fed a huge amount of information from the internet. This can include pictures and words from any online source. A Chatbot, such as ChatGPT, is given a specific task, and then uses all of that stored information to create new writing, pictures, or even computer code. The "magic" of this process is actually based on statistics and probability of the patterns of language that regularly occur.
Predictive AI creates new information by starting with random letters, words, or sentences and then using probabilities to predict what would come next. Generative AI can create new products such as apps, websites, and video games, and has all kinds of practical uses. LLMs are able to "learn" from the information they have been fed, along with the fine-tuning that humans must do to correct misinformation and avoid dangerous outcomes.

CHATBOT by Tracz

LLM – Large Language Models are programs that go out and make probability chains on the entirety of the internet. They will, using the data they gathered, predict what letter and what word should come next when a specific task is asked. For example, if you ask it to write about comic books, and what super hero would win in a fight, it will gather data on comic books on the internet and try to find an answer based on data on the internet and also simplify the data that it has taken in (A HUGE AMOUNT BTW).

Predictive AI is when you are taking statistics found and predicting what could come next or answering a question based on PAST results, nothing truly unique here.

Generative AI is taking the data gathered and creating something unique and new from this, like CHAT GPT. An example is also when art is created in AI.

LLMs, and Predictive v Generative AI

Large Language Models (LLMs) look like they comb the internet for all language to create gargantuan data sets they can then use as sources of language probabilities. So, they look at series of words, and find the most likely word to come next, based on what they have so far. I imagine the prompt also is taken into effect, in some fashion. While it seems slightly mundane, the implications and ramifications are huge and we have not felt them all.

This is Predictive AI (I think). It is using statistics and probabilities drawn from all internet data to predict what comes next. While new content is being created, it is not truly "new," but more a statistical amalgamation of all that came before.

Generative AI looks to go further. It looks to create new content more like a human brain works. This is the model that Google is "moon-shooting" for. We will see if they can get there!
