4/25/18 Unit Organizer

The unit organizer was difficult for me to wrap my head around.  I see the value in the planning and the connections it helps educators make. We used a personal experience to get started instead of an "educational" topic to try to help us walk through the process.

I love the explicitness of the connections between past and future units as well as how it is so easily visible!  I think this is a great tool for teachers, especially new teachers who are not as "seasoned" with their planning process.  It is also a great way to get the big picture across the curriculum.

4/25/18 Thinking BIG!

I have had a chance to co-create with Patty and Diane but today was my first attempt to work through a Unit Organizer from scratch. The tool helps to bring clarity to the work we are doing in our grant and will help us better organize with the entire team.  it is a work in progress!

Unit Organizer

Particularly useful were connections made to Hattie's work and how elements of the UO align with same!
