i enjoyed learning about google classroom because it seems like a really useful tool when trying to be organized in your classroom. It made it easy to create forms and ways to collect information you may need from parents. I liked how it all had it in one place. I think that it will definitely come in handy when i become a teacher.

I would love to use this as part of my future classroom. I can use it to post assignments, quizzes, even lectures and powerpoints. The students can use this to go over things that they might not have understood in class or if they were absent. They are able to stay organize and on top of their due dates. This tool can help students to achieve their goals in my classroom.

I believe that this app will be great for me as a future teacher, as I am often forgetful and the app will help to remind me of things that need to be done and will provide me the necessary tools to create lists and notes for my future self to rely on. While I would not make it mandatory for my classes to use it, I would highly suggest that the students download the app on their phones or tablets in order to provide them a resource for use in making their lives a little less hectic. If they see that I am using the app, it will make it easier for them to understand it and maybe even more intrigued on the matter; I am also a resource to them as well, as I am the one who knows how to use the app and can answer any questions they may have.

I believe I can use ChatterPix in my classroom. My hope is that will be teaching kindergarten.  My students can use this app to tell stories and for other social skills. I believe this app will bring a lot of fun into my future classroom. I will definitely use this app!

I kind of explained in my review how I would use this app in my future classroom, but I think that it could bring a lot of fun to the classroom. As a future history teacher, I worry sometimes about my students thinking that the material is boring or "lifeless" so incorporating Chatterpix into lessons could help to engage students.

Accessibility Reflection

Learning about different ways you can accommodate your students using an apple device will come in handy when I become a teacher. If I have a struggling reader I can use the speak text to have the device read to that student who can't read text very well. If I have a student who cant see very well I can pull up the magnifier to blow up the words or a picture that they can not see very well.

Google Form Summary

I definitely see myself using Google Forms in my future classroom. Whether it be as a way to gain contact information from parents, learning about y future students at the beginning of the year, or as entrance and exit tickets, this application could be extremely beneficial. It can be customized to whatever I want it to be and I love that it can be saved and how you can choose that all questions must be answered before submitting. I really look forward to using this in the future.

This session was relevant to my future classroom because it helped me feel more prepared for my future classroom. I learned that you’ll figure out a lot of things in time and that it is important to surround yourself with other teachers who love their job. I also learned that I need to not be afraid to ask questions during my interviews with schools because it is important that I feel like the school fits me and my teaching philosophy. One thing I am concerned about in the future is parent interactions, so I am glad we touched on that during this session. I learned that it is important to be upfront with the parents in the beginning so they know, along with the child, what is expected from the student. This experience also showed me how important collaborating is for teachers. There are a lot of great teachers who want to learn from each other. Surrounding yourself with these types of teachers, ones who want to keep learning and collaborating with others, will lead to a much happier career.

This will be relevant in my future classroom.

I love Google Forms! I think they're so great! This workshop was extremely relevant to my future classroom. I can use Google Forms to conduct quizzes, assessment, surveys, and much more. Like I said in the summary, I want to teach upper elementary. At this age, students are starting to become more mature and I think they will be able to handle using Google Forms for some activities. I really plan on using Google Forms with the parents or caregivers of the child. Google Forms are great for collecting emergency contact information, child's allergies, class party sign up, permission slips, and more. I think the ISTE standard I chose, Analyst, is a great way to describe Google Forms in the classroom. Google Forms is extremely data driven and it helps guide teachers in their instruction and learning goals for their students. Before the workshop ended, he talked about how Google Forms and Google Classroom go together and I am excited to learn more about Google and how I can apply it to my future classroom.

The EdCamp sessions were honestly way more awesome and impactful than I could have imagined. I learned a lot of good information as well as got to engage in discussion with people who are passionate about similar things as me over topics I enjoy. I feel like I got an inside look into my future over the weekend. I met a lot of great teachers and administration, as well as got some relief from my anxieties about different things to come. After my experience at EdCamp, I will definitely be going to as many of these as possible. I had no idea it would be so enriching and I truly believe that every educator can benefit from this sort of collaboration, which brings me to my next point. The ISTE standard that I feel most closely relates to EdCamp is Collaborator. This is the kind of disorganized collaboration that can only come from an event like this.

Reflection 2/2

These resources given to me gave me a head start on planning the organization of my classroom. Though I did not obtain all the resources provided, I still gained many ideas on how to incorporate those resources in my classroom. I also used the Learner ISTE standard because I learned from other educators on how to make my classroom visually entertaining and useful to my students.
