Reflection

I think this is assignment is very relevant to my future classroom. I now know how to use popular iPad apps. I can teach my students how to use these apps in the classroom. The way technology is taking off it is likely that all my students will have iPads to use in everyday learning. I believe the standard that fits best with this is the facilitator standard.

This is relevant for my future classroom because I know I will use apple tools and apps. Being efficient with my apple skills will help me apply these to future assignment. I will be able to help my students grow and learn in anything they need. I could use this to create assignment for my students to complete so they can be familiar with apple apps. Collaborator: 
Educators dedicate time to collaborate with both colleagues and students to improve practice, discover and share resources and ideas, and solve problems. Students can learn to work together and use any of the apple apps so they can complete assignments and projects! 

I think this badge would be helpful in a classroom that has access to Apple and a Mac technology. Each of these badges had step by step instructions that explain how to use each of the features on an iPad. I do think that this would a be choice of mine to use these instructions in a classroom because it help eliminate the explaining time during class time. Students could learn and complete these badges out of class and learn how to use the apps. Then in the classroom more time can focused on using the apps in a lesson. 

Being an apple teacher is definitely relevant to my future classroom. More now than ever, students are relying on technology in the classroom whether that be to learn, study, create, take notes, etc. Knowing how to use multiple apps and being certified on how to use them will definitely give me a leg up compared other teachers who do not. I especially see myself using the pages app and requiring students to create project presentations in it through the year.

Becoming an Apple Teacher is very relevant to my future classroom because it has taught me more about iPads and the different apps that I can use. I am now more confident in some of the functions of apps that are offered and how to utilize them in a meaningful way (like in my classroom). Before completing this badge, I knew some of these tools that were available but i did not have the confidence to use them when opportunities presented itself. I now have that confidence to use unfamiliar apps and see how they can make me a better teacher. I am really excited to see my knowledge for resources with apple products grow. Hopefully i can use them to make my classroom a better learning environment where my students can be engaged and express themselves freely.  

I choose facilitator as my ISTE standard and think it fits in really well with this badge. I think being an apple teacher and being a facilitator go hand in hand because they both help students with technology and how to use it to their advantage in the classroom. The more I know about technology the more I can share with my students. I believe that completing this badge has opened my mind about things I did not know and I hope to share it with my students so they can benefit from them as well. 

Completing the Apple Teacher badge is relevant to my future classroom because it has provided me with more knowledge about how to use different apps and gives me more opportunities to use technology while I teach. I now feel more confident using technology to complete assignments. This will allow them to be more creative by using iMovie, Garage Band, or any other apps I've learned about. Using my iPad will help my students become more engaged and make learning more fun. I chose facilitator as my standard because facilitators help students learn with technology to support their knowledge. Becoming an Apple teacher makes working with technology easier and will help my students use these apps in the future as well as in the classroom.

This information is relevant to my future classroom because classrooms will likely only be increasing the use of technology for learning. Having knowledge about the iPad and what it can do will be helpful to my students because now that I know more, I can better utilize the apps on the iPad for their benefit by knowing how to best incorporate them into my classroom. As the children get older and begin using the iPad more, this knowledge will also allow me to teach them how to use apps on the iPad for their school work. I think that the ISTE Standard of being a facilitator really fits with being an apple teacher because learning with technology is going to be really important for these kids as they go through school, so the earlier we teach them how to utilize technology as a tool for learning, the better off they will be. 

This badge is relevant to my future classroom because I can now say that I know how to use different apps popular to the iPad. I know what apps are best for which activities and I can recommend them to my students. I would probably use the iMovie and pages apps most in my history classroom so students can make “documentaries” and write research reports.

Technology is something that continues to become more relevant in everyday practices. This is something that as future educators that we must learn to be able to recognize and utilize. I believe that the "Apple Teacher" badge was a beneficial part to my learning of how to incorporate one day. For example, I have never used "Garageband" before. When having to study for the quiz I was able to learn new ways that I could implement this to reach all of my students in new ways. Because of this, I feel the standard that works with this badge for me would be "Facilitator". 

Completing these Apple Badges will be relevant in my future classroom because it has given me the knowledge I need in order to be an expert on these apps. In order for us to able to help our students with technology, we need to understand and be able to do the things we are expecting our students to do. Instead of just having a students write a paper, I could have them make a presentation on Keynote. I could also have them make video assignments using imovie or take notes on pages. Helping our students understand technology will benefit them in the future as well. When they are required to use these applications in their future, they will at least be familiar with them. 

Being an Apple Teacher is relevant to my future classroom because it gives me more options on teaching with technology. I can now maximize the use of all Apple apps within my classroom and I can assure that my students will be taught how to use them effectively. In my classroom, I can use these apps to have students make projects with iMovie, GarageBand, and Keynote. I can also have my students write up lab reports with Pages and Numbers. All the apps have a wide variability in what you can do with them, and I cannot wait to use them in my classroom. I chose facilitator as my standard because facilitators makes processes easy or easier, and I feel like me becoming an Apple Teacher makes working with technology much easier in the classroom.

By completing the Apple teacher badge I now feel more confident in using technology in my lesson plans and activities. I can also give my students more opportunities to complete projects more creativity instead of them using power point or a poster. Using an IPad to complete asssignments students will become more engaged and think learning is more fun. I want to learn more about what to do with an iPad in my classroom so I can incorporate more technology in my classroom.
