We began the strategy on September 8, 2020 with a pretest. We ended the strategy on January 4, 2021 with a posttest. This strategy went well; however a large number of students were still on virtual learning. I identified that alot of students had deficiencies in phonics, ie. dipthongs cannot be seperated as they make one sound (sh, th, ph) and soft c and g sounds (c says /s/ if it is followed by a e, i, y).
