Professional reading
There have been a handful of books I come back to time and time again for new inspiration. Every time I pick up one of these books I come away with something new!

OG Girls on the Run night at the Turner girls soccer game! The girls were so excited to be a part of this!… https://t.co/7FdOZela8K
"Little Trisha is overjoyed at the thought of starting school and learning how to read. But right from the start, when she tries to read, all the letters and numbers just get jumbled up. Her classmates make matters worse by calling her ""dummy"" and ""toad""."

Texting parents is always rewarding and inspiring. It's so easy to contact them this way. I've never any misuse my #. Everyone should try.
Authentic learning such as STEM activities really engage and excite students. It inspires me to witness youth so involved in their own learning and willing to work well with others. I believe students need ample opportunity to be active and authentic.

Outdoor education!
Ask me for literature that relates positive academic, emotional, behavioral and social gains with outdoor, place-based learning. Students love learning outdoors! Students learn better outdoors. We should take learning outdoors!

Collaborating with passionate educators <3
Being around teachers who share my enthusiasm and passion for teaching and learning inspires me beyond anything else. Having awesome peopl (like Leasha ;) ) to plan out projects and units with is amazing. I love when having tons of ideas swirling around and around. And I love go big or go home ideas! And when I am around enthusiastic and passionate teachers, those are the ideas we always come up with. Collaboration is so powerful and it is one of the things I really love about teaching!
