Great Turner teachers inspire me! Pictured are 2016 Oak Grove third grade and 2017 Oak Grove fourth grade. These ladies are full of ideas!

Jim Fay Groupie here!

If you know me at all you know I'm a huge fan of Jim Fay and Love And Logic. The things I've learned from his trainings and books have guided my classroom management throughout my career.

Former students inspire me! When I run into former students it makes me happy! Reminds me why I do what I do & inspires me to keep at it!

Check in with former students!

I cannot encourage you enough to stay in contact with students on social media. Instagram is my favorite because they can follow you without you having to follow them back. I get comments/likes from former students all the time that are still following my social media. I also try to visit/have lunch with/email former students as well. Whenever I go through TimeHop and see a former student, I try to email them to check in. Sometimes they don't respond, but sometimes you get a huge email back saying what they're up to! It lets you know the impact you had on them even outside of your classroom. What's more inspiring than knowing what a great job you did with kids?

Chemistry and Art!

I am inspired by bringing PBL to life by creating a Chemistry/Art experience for my students! I envision a gallery exhibition where students showcase the art they created in Chemistry class for the community. Gallery dates to be announced soon!
