Providing and receiving helpful feedback.

I envision being able to help other teachers with classroom observations and receive help as they observe mine.

Ideas that I can implement in class & getting "non-graded" feedback from others to help me make chng or to hear I'm doing something right!

By inviting other teachers into my classroom I hope to break down some of the walls (or open the doors) that prevent teachers from feeling comfortable popping in to see the awesome things happening in each others' rooms! Also, by tailoring my feedback form to fit my personal goals, I am able to get specific feedback that will truly benefit my instruction and practices.

I found an interesting article

This is such a great idea. I hope people actually step into my room. I think could put a hundred questions on my form. I looked on twitter then googled it. i found this really great article for troubleshooting observe me. It helped me form questions that will give me more feedback than a walkthrough from and administrator. I am really hoping to get some useful help. Observing

I love the chance to get a new perspective on my classroom. When others watch, they see things I miss. In the same way going to see others work will give me more ideas and a new way to look at situations in my room.

The possibilities are endless...

I see myself using this as profession growth for myself. I can zoned in on my goal areas and have others give feedback. Also, I think this will be great school wide!

Feedback

I hope to gain information about things going well and things I could improve on in my classroom. The time I spend with my students has to be so focussed, I want to make sure they are engaged and learning. Feedback from other teachers will help me "see" where I can ensure students are engaged and learning.

Success as a Teacher

I envision that other teachers, with wiser experience or a fresh new look, can help me become a better teacher each day! I love hearing new ideas, and how I can grow as a teacher. Sometimes you need an outside eye to help bring ideas into focus.

Excited to start #observeme

I am so excited to start #observeme. I have wanted to do it ever since I saw teachers @ SGA doing it! I hope to gain new ideas and get feedback! Everyone has a different way of looking at things, so I think it would be so cool to have teachers coming in to give their insight and feedback!

I love going into other classrooms! Most of the time I always come out with brand new ideas to use in my own classroom! The observeme signs will help keep the observer stay focused on a specific area that the teacher is working on!

I would like constructive feedback from my colleagues, so that I can continue to grow as a teacher. By going into other classrooms and observing I hope to gain ideas for my own classroom as well as see what is happening in our building.

What do I want from #ObserveMe?

Well, first of all, my classroom is in a faraway corner by itself, so I hope it encourages others to visit me! Besides that, I want constructive feedback on my goals. Sometimes I don't see things objectively since I'm there all the time. It's also encouraging me to focus on one of my self-improvement goals (giving verbal praise). Because I know that goal is posted on my door for all to see, it encourages me and holds me accountable to be working towards that goal all the time. It's also a visual reminder for me every day when I enter my classroom. My next goal is to video myself teaching and post it on YouTube for a virtual observe me.
